A friend of mine and me got ourselves a fresh OnePlus One.
Although he is using stock kernel he recommended me to flash Franco's kernel.
In AnTuTu Benchmark we notice a quite significant performance drop:

Stock kernel: 48.xxx score
Franco kernel: 41.xxx score

Benchmarks itself were startet at the same time.
On the OnePlus One with Franco kernel it runs visibly behind (approx 10 seconds).

Do I need to worry?
Although battery life is very good, i'm thinking if I should go back to stock kernel...

i wouldn't worry. franco is famous for things down in order to increase battery life. i hit 51k on the ak kernel this monring. then overclocked and hit 53k. it is all a matter of what you want. if its battery life, then franco is the way to go. if it is performance and sheer speed, but you might have to charge every night, the run with ak.

no... i am pretty sure i made that clear in my post. and seeing as you are/been having such huge issues with your phone, i doubt you did either. and if you somehow did actually hit the unbelievably high number that you posted and your phone is now messed over... i wouldn't want to hit 70k. a stable 51k with no alterations to rom/kernel whatsoever is more than enough for me.

I decided to go all out on benchmarking.

^This is the score you'll get by changing your CPU governor to "ondemand" and GPU governor to "simple_on demand"

There were no worthwhile improvements in enabling "Laptop Mode" or setting the CPU/GPU governor to "performance". Tests were taken with an average CPU temperature of 18°C. Hit the thanks button! [emoji12]
