@Lord Boeffla It worked for me!! Awesome! I recorded the complete procedure! How about a video?
& why did my bootloader get locked when it was unlocked before?
Well, not me to thank. Thank the op who came up with the toolkit, I just corrected it slightly.

Why the bootloader gets locked during the upgrade, no idea. Only oneplus team could answer if they put something in by intention that triggers that.

@Lord Boeffla
I found the answer! It is because of new security feature in 5.1.1
More info- https://nakedsecurity.sophos.com/20...p-5-1-brings-promised-anti-theft-kill-switch/
So any time when you have pattern or any lock then after a reset the bootloader will be locked! Same is the case if you revert back from CM12.1 to oxygen OS !!
Happened to me, read here- https://forums.oneplus.net/threads/stuck-in-registration-loop.351187/#post-12816700
I tried it thrice again to confirm! can you do that too ? :p
Bootloader gets locked and if you have TWRP recovery installed then there wont be any recovery and you will have to follow this method to get it working! :D
Video guide here-

Hey guys, for some reason my computer does not see the Qualcomm driver but an ADB driver instead? Also the recovery tool worked for me the first time but I was using TWRP recovery which still caused a boot loop now the recovery tool won't even load it gets stuck..

EDIT: Nvm guys! unbricked, woop woop! thanks a lot for the info.

Follow the steps list which I have posted a while ago. I was also left with a locked boot loader and needed to do it to recover.

I cannot search the post for you as I am travelling. But it is more at the start of this thread.

Thanks for the advise. But actually, I already followed the steps in the early portion of the thread before I post. I flashed the Chinese recovery (I can read Chinese) using the recovery tool downloaded from the link provided in this thread. However, after flashing, it automatically reboot the device and went into a boot loop.

Before it all happen, my phone was in Oxygen OS 2.01, rooted with TWRP recovery and xposed framework installed. I wanted to upgrade to 2.02, so I factory reset and wipe the phone cache, re-installed the Oxygen 2.0, then installed 2.01 and finally installed the 2.02 patch. All working quite well until I tried to root the phone again. I tried to boot into twrp but got into a boot loop. I then entered the fastboot mode and found out my bootloader was locked. I tried fastboot oem unlock and it won't work. By that time I could still boot up the phone OS normally so I went into developer setting and switch the bootloader lock option to unlock. I re-entered the fastboot mode and try oem unlock again. It still went into a bootloop after the unlock commend but worse, this time the power button no longer works. I cannot boot the phone OS, I cannot not boot into recover. Only fastboot still working.

I can only enter the fastboot mode by pressing V+ and power.
fastboot devices can identify my phone.
fastboot flash recovery recovery.img said bootloader is lock and flashing failed.
fastboot oem unlock will cause boot loop

Don't know what to do next.

Interesting effect.

I am on a business trip, so cannot try out any things right now.

If I were you, I would search for Oxygen Os fastboot images (I have seen them somewhere, probably on OnePlus forums directly), this is basically in fastboot mode applying a completely fresh rom by also deleting all content on the phone.
But only works if your bootloader is open again now.

(Solved)
Thanks again for the advice.
I finally solved the problem using the modified un-break tool posted by Lord Boeffla (http://forum.xda-developers.com/show...2&postcount=21). It started up normally to 2.02 after flashing the recovery.img using the tool with bootloader unlocked.

Many thanks for everyone posting in this thread.

Hey people,

Im trying all of this and i can get my OPT in fastboot mode+connected to PC but it never gives me that QUALCOMM in Device Manager. All I see is either ADB or Android and I can't update either of those with the drivers from OP. When I get ADB (on W10) it says; no need to update drivers, you're already updated. When I get Android (W7) it says windows can't find drivers for my device in the folder where the drivers are located.

Hawlp :(

This does not work in Fastboot mode.

To enter the "Qualcomm" mode, you need to play around with Vol+ and Power Button. At least this was it for me.

Got it into that mode, its now running the full recovery package. If this works I owe you 5 boxes of cookies or a bottle of Scotch my good sir!

For those with the same issues; indeed make sure your phone is 100% off (my phone for instance started booting for 2 seconds when I plugged it into my computer, it basically went; On (2seconds) off. On (2 seconds) off. Infinitely looping. Just hold that power button for dear life and tell your phone its going to be all okay and wait for it to turn off completely. Then what I did is hold the power button+ and - together for 1 second and my Device manager showed QHUB. Installed drivers, used the Full Recovery program and it's now got H2 OS on it again. Thanks to everyone in this thread and especially Lord Boeffla!

The new OPT is bricked after one day of usage

Hi there,
I have very strange problem with my OPT. I'm not sure that it exactly the same problem what is described in the topic but I'll try to explain it :)
After one day of usage I found my phone completely discharged and it was warm. Looks like there was some process working/stuck all night long.
After that I tried to restart/power off and power on it, but without any success, the phone screen was black. I can't charge the phone.
Sometime I received the battery low message on the screen but after a few min it disappear and the same problem - I can't turn on it :(
I've tried all solution described in this topic without any success. It looks like the installation of image is done the recovery tool send the phone to the restart but nothing happens.
I tried to leave the phone more than 12 hours without charging and plug in after that, not work :(
I don't know what else I can do.
Maybe someone of you know how to resolve this problem ?
Thanks in advance and sorry for my English :)

Thanks OP and @Lord Boeffla , i manage to revive my phone.
Here's the story:
It was delivered with O2 then I unlocked the bootloader, unlocked true, tampered false status.
Flash TWRP and flash H2, H2 ota and gapps.
tried to flash O2 modem for better LTE connection but it says cannot flash > bootloader locked > failed
Then I unlock the bootloader and there I see the problem. It is like on a restart loop.
Tried to flash update from fastboot and it doesn't work.
Then i search brick here on the general forum.
I see this thread. Read and tried using the post from @Lord And it was good :D
