Received OTA Android 12 with oneUI 4.0 yesterday. I'm very disappointed with this update! There is very noticable stutter while using the navigation gestures, especially the one that lifts the current app up and shows the app switcher. Also there is terrible stutter while scrolling between the quick toggle pages in the notification shade. There are some other stutters here and there, but those are the most noticable. It's like Samsung forgot to optimize some parts of the UI. The stupidest thing is that with Android 11 my phone was perfectly smooth. It's an Exynos s20+. I thought that the TouchWiz days are long gone, but...
I do not recommend this update. It's not like the phone is slow, I would say it's a bit faster, but there are noticable frame drops through out the UI.

I have the exact same phone, and have the exact same issues. I hate the update. The stutters dissappear when you drop the resolution to 720p but I'm NOT going to use a 6.7" screen on a 720p resolution. Cmon Samsung, this is ridiculous. One more awful thing they did is make the share menu same as iOS - horizontal.
I'm going back to Android 11, it worked perfectly for me.

How long the adb sideload will take to complete? Got stuck at 47%(patching system image after verification) for more than 20 mins while trying to update oneui 4 beta 1 from 3.1

Usually, it runs like a train - progressing steadily without long interruptions. Stalling like this is a strong indication of that the process has really gotten stuck. I experieced these constantly as well and found it pretty painful trying to get the updates sideloaded.

I hope you got your system upgraded eventually.

I had waited for nearly 1.5 hours before pulling the plug, Downloaded the OTA files several times after that to confirm the file is not corrupted and still flash got stuck at some point(4% to 47%). Finally used ODIN to install 11 firmware and lost much of my data in the process. Never thought I would lose data over a simple OTA update.

Yes, u are right. The issues disappear when u dial back the resolution to 720p but this unacceptable. I'm beginning to think Samsung do not test software extensively before releasing it.
And for information, I have two other friends with s20s and it's absolutely the same for them.

Did Samsung forgot to launch the Android 12 update for the S20 USA Snapdragon variant or what ?? USA Verizon variant got it already but not the SM-G988U1... I can't believe that S10 line up is receiving it when all the different S20 variants didn't get it at the moment ! that's nonsense !

That's the same thing I was thinking.. But they made sure to use TMB S20's for beta... No Official version love..
And seriously?? S10 get's it before all of the S20 variants??

It is weird that Verizon got it first. I've got the VZW S20+. Got it on Friday (I think).

I will tell you that you won't be disappointed. Things are pretty similar to before, but the performance on mine has been great. Updated sharing functions and option for resizing screenshots is also appreciated.

FYI: Using Heimdall you don't need to install everything from the .PIT if it is not included inside the Stock FW files

After updating to Android 12 stable via OTA, my device has begun to act strangely!! It started out with lines all across the screen, just like beta, so I set the motion smoothness to "standard" and the stutteriness/lines had gone. Phone now has a green screen while charging, and it persists while rebooting too.

Any others facing this issue and is there any way to resolve?

Edit: Left the device alone for an hour and display is reverted to normal. Hope it stays the same.!!

I can also confirm. Also the stutter issue is a widespread problem for all Exynos S20s after the Android 12 update. Some may not notice, but if you're used to 120Hz smooth UI, it's a big problem. Most noticable is when swiping through the quick toggles pages in the notification shade and with some navigation gestures. Switching to 720p 120Hz fixes the issue, but it's not a real fix, is it?
