Yes it's possible and is already available but it's not complete without ROM side EAS which won't be possible until OP or or other devs create OP5 unique energy model like was done for OP3/t by awesome devs @joshuous and @RenderBroken.

He built a dummy energy model that he is using for testing on OOS. And the builder of visionone kernel has EAS for LOS based on that code. What the ROM side needs is proper input boosting, ala vox populi

What you say is correct but input boosting and vox populi won't work properly unless there is a proper energy model calculated which is not an easy task. And with out energy model and proper powerhal rom EAS is incomplete.
