Reading about the front camera being fixed in Oos 5.0.4--is this a firmware thing that will make the front camera fixes for these modded cameras unnecessary?

sd835 does not support 4k 60 fps encoding only decoding

It supports 4k 44-45 fps encoding. I used that feature in some 7.9.x Arnova's builds.

Both app loading time , switching between front and back camera while on portrait mode and hdr processing

I don't see any speed differences between V8 and V8.1, if there's any, it's too small for me to notice. On my Nexus 5X, official Google Camera takes ~1 second to switch between cameras, same as the port on my OP3.

Processing always takes between 5 and 10 seconds (using default settings). Again, there's this processing delay even on Nexus phones where this app is supposed to run (not sure about the Pixel 2).

HDR+ On is very fast and HDR+ enhanced takes 1-3 seconds, which is similar to my experience with the original app on a Nexus 5X.

So unless there's some bug or bad performance on certain ROMs, maybe that slowness is caused by some setting you changed (eg: auto exposure or HDR parameters).

Reinstall the app (or clean app data) and see if it's faster with the default settings.

Mine is mi mix 2,but it works for me. Try it. This version is for flash in TWRP, in case you prefer.
