I use Arnova's v8.3b1, but any of the versions linked in the main post should be okay.Devs thanks for the great work.
I am planning to use the op3 as my main camera for my upcoming trip. Which version is reliable and has a good balance between quality (sharpness, Hdr and so on) and natural colors?
Hi Arnova8G2 (and everyone)! On @S4turno's request, I've updated the ARCore patch TWRP flashable zips for devices without official ARCore support to v1.1 (the original being v1.0). These flashable zips now also take care of the additional step of renaming a folder that was required to be done manually post flashing the zip in TWRP in addition to doing what the original flashable zips were doing, thereby eliminating that extra manual step.AR Stickers works with original ARcore
- Last AR Core : install it from the Play Store or APK Mirror
Profile for ARCore
Changelog :
- Add news profile
- Add profile for Android 8.1 and Android 9
- Must not be used for devices in this list: https://developers.google.com/ar/discover/supported-devices

See if there's a thread on your phone's forums. Different phones have different software/hardware/issues, it's impossible for OP3/3T users to recommend fixes for issues we don't have.I was install last version of Arnova's 8.3b1 but pictures before I take pictures is freezing and slow motion. It's any tips and trick to fix it? I have HTC 10 8.0 Oreo stock.
Thanks man.Hi Arnova8G2 (and everyone)! On @S4turno's request, I've updated the ARCore patch TWRP flashable zips for devices without official ARCore support to v1.1 (the original being v1.0). Attaching the updated zips with this post. Thanks to @S4turno for getting this to my attention as well as testing it. :highfive: Good day, everyone!
Can you update the recommended settings? There are new settings like exposure compensation, Fix camera api2, auto exposure in portrait. ThanksQuick thread update:
- @Arnova8G2 v8.3b1 added to the main post, it replaces his v8.2 (moved to the archive post).
- I've added @Tolyan009 1.0.10 to the main post too. It's based on Google Camera 5.3.015, which doesn't have things like RAW, but it's a good version in my opinion. You might want to use his settings (with a mirror here, if XDA is too slow) for better details ( @Tolyan009, maybe these should be the default settings?).
- FYI: Tolyan009 changed his username on 4PDA to "TlnNeun", that's why new updates now have his new nickname instead of the old one.
- My ARCore/Stickers page was updated with new info sent to me by @starcms. He also found a few mistakes I made, which are now fixed.
Thats all for now.
:good:
V8.3b1 comes with new settings like "support level override" and "force HDR+ Enhanced", but we don't need them. For example, "support level override" was added because the OP6 needs it. Some of the options have different names (eg: "Auto-Exposure" instead of "Correction of auto-exposure HDR") but the rest it's basically the same. I'll create a new post or add a warning to my last post if these new settings are included on final v8.3.Can you update the recommended settings? You seem to have a Xiaomi phone, so you should ask here as we (OnePlus 3/3T) don't know how Google Camera works on your phone. We have different hardware, software, and issues. For dark and night capture, recently my Gcam get a reddish color around the photo side.

I use Arnova's v8.3b1.@S4turno what do you think about last arnova VS last tolyan?
Tolyan's app are very fast, no waiting time after a pics, but look's like colors are less "hdr".
Arnova have a great color but with max settings is very slow after a shoot.

To be honest, I don't think posts with suggested settings are that important anymore. They made sense a year ago when he had to do things like this, but recent apks from Arnova already come with good/stable settings. My last post is more a list of things you can change than than recommended settings. In any case, I'll keep creating these posts as they seem to help some users.
Regarding new settings, we should see more being added as developers move their focus to new phones and try to find good configs, add fixes, etc, just like they did with 3/3T. We have to ignore these new settings and keep using the old (or default) ones as they are the best for our phone. Eventually we might be better off with old versions as new updates introduce bugs and don't bring anything new for us (sometimes features are removed - eg: Google Camera 5.3.015 doesn't save RAW files) but let's wait and see what happens.
@S4turno the AR stickers doesn't work on OP3 and OP3T. It seems the apk are for android 8.1 and up. But on stock rom, Op3s have android 8.0. The package doesn't install, parse failed.Quick thread update:

Oh, that's why other 3/3T users complained on the Telegram group. They're all using OOS and according to APKMirror even old AR Stickers apks require at least 8.1:@S4turno the AR stickers doesn't work on OP3 and OP3T. It seems the apk are for android 8.1 and up. I think there is a way to modify the apk. I don't remember where I found, but the AR stickers I'm using it's working on android 8.0, it's a modified apk found on xda some time ago. I'm running LineageOS (8.1), so it was working fine:

Sadly there's nothing I can do. Files are provided by Arnova8G2 and I'm just a normal user.

So there must be a way to change the min sdk from 8.1 to 8.0
You can try this one.It is due to the MinSDK criteria. I have decompiled and edited the AndroidManifest.xml of the apk.
