Hello.

I have a Technicolor TG784n v3 router and initially my OP5 couldn't connect to it via Wi-Fi.

Later I found out that in my router the Wi-Fi security mode was set to WPA-PSK and after I changed it to WPA2-PSK my OP5 connects immediately!

Shouldn't OP5 work with WPA-PSK Wi-Fi security??

Can anyone try this?

Hi
What software version are you using now? and tell me your WiFi frequency band (5 GHz or 2.4GHz),
if this issue still persist and 100% reproduced, would you like to help us capture the log of it?

On the OP5 I'm on the official 4.5.6.

The router is a Technicolor TG784n V3 and it has 2.4Ghz only.

Tried also with different the Wi-Fi channels.

Yes is 100% reproducible, i.e., if I put on the router WPA1 my OP5 won't connect and the Wi-Fi connection stays at "saved" state.

It's odd, though I'd recommend keeping WPA2 unless you have a damned good reason to keep WPA.

It also must have something to do with the wi-fi device where the OP5 is connecting.

I say this because my OP5 sometimes can connect to my Devolo 1200+ even with only WPA1!!

With WPA1+WPA2 on the Devolo 1200+ my OP5 connects 100% of the times with no issue.

Hi
Would you like to help us to capture the log of your wifi issue?
Here are steps :
1. Input *#800# from dialing interface, enter "Get Wireless Log", chose "Get Wi-Fi log"
2. Re-switch the WiFi, when the problem occurred, please take screenshots immediately, then wait several minutes.
3. chose "Stop logging"
4. enter file manager>storage> oem_log, find the folder, zip it and send it to us (btw, please guarantee the folder included "wlan_logs"folder )
5. in order to avoid take in store usage, when you got the log and sent it to me, you can delete the "oem-log"folder.

My email address is:
[email protected]
Thank you very much
