Hi guys.
If I flash incremental update, does root and twrp will get lost?
I don't want to download the whole rom, so if I lose recovery, can I get it back using adb method?
Thanks

Yeah, you will lose Root and TWRP. After you flash OTA, before you reboot, just flash Root (either Magisk or SuperSU) and then reboot. After that you can use Official TWRP app to flash recovery through mobile itself.

Hi,
don't flash incremental ota with twrp, it's only for stock recovery, you'll be into bootloop !
Take a look here (post #3): https://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-5/how-to/official-oxygenos-4-5-2-7-1-1-ota-t3627003
You need to flash full zip and root.
Or you can flash previous OOS rom with wipe system and without flashing root, you'll lose twrp (replace by stock recovery) and root AND you'll can flash incremental ota.
;)

Just wanted to share my feedback for OnePlus OTAs: The only down-side with these updates is that OOS is still not shipping the latest Google Android security patches although being close to Stock Android (as they portray) where other OEMs are atleast bumping the latest patches to keep the device updated/secured.
OOS 4.5.10 still ships with 1st July 2017 patches whereas it should've come with August month's security patches.

Don't get me wrong, I am very happy with the incremental updates and the changes these updates bring, it's just that, IMO, the security patches must also be prioritized with bug optimization.

Great work to all the developers here on XDA and at OnePlus to support this device. :good: :)

I searched the thread and didn't see this but if I just got my device and am on 4.5.0 can I flash straight to the latest? I am new to this device and have tried flashing some custom Roms and get nothing but faults. My guess is that I need to update before flashing.
Thank you in advance

Added 4.5.11 from 4.5.x incremental OTA zips as well.

@pacopa21

Works perfectly from my end. What error are you facing?

@glockman4519

Yes, you can directly grab the latest 4.5.11 (ATM) full signed zip & upgrade from 4.5.0. Most of the custom roms require 4.5.10 firmware though, for now.
