Hi there! So I'm having an issue right now with my OP 7T Pro and I'm hoping someone here could help me with it.

Being the stupid person that I am, I unknowingly installed an open beta version of OOS 11 because I thought it would work for my phone. Turns out, well, it didn't, so now my phone is bricked.

Alright, so now, I believe I did some of the preliminary steps for unbricking my device but I'm now faced with some issues, namely:
  1. I'm not sure if I'm in EDL mode although my device is being detected as QDLOADER 9008. However, it has an exclamation mark near the icon. (EDIT: I would like to point out that installing the CAB file did not work, as it shows that I have the "best" drivers. However, device status says "Windows cannot verify the digital signature for the drivers required for this device. A recent hardware or software change might have installed a file that is signed incorrectly or damaged, or that might be malicious software from an unknown source. (Code 52)")
  2. Apart from this, when I run MSM, the connection status shows N/A.
I'm not sure what to do now at this point. Also, it was pointed out that another user here had a similar issue with which firmware to download. In my case, I have the HD1913 variant although I bought this unit here in the Philippines. Will it be safe if I use the Global version? (I have no way of knowing the build number at this point.)

Thanks for the help!

EDIT 2: Attached a photo that shows the exclamation mark thing.

1. Try removing currently installed driver, reboot your PC and get your device in EDL mode again to see if driver is being automatically installed
2. Connection status being N/A is a consequence of the exclamation mark.

@Some_Random_Username
please make 10.0.14 version
this latest from oos a10

I don't make those tools as it wouid involve having OnePlus' signing keys, I only post them whenever I'm aware of newer versions being available and that I have time to dedicate to that. Furthermore you do not need latest version to recover your device.

Hi,
Where can I find the tool with OOS 11 ? I understand that you're not the one making them but you find them somewhere online, is that right ?
Thanks

if it is help for anyone stuck on the wrong device (see op on downloading from MS), try Windows update, where it says optional updates (or devices) and click in to find the qualcomm drivers listed - it will then get the correct drivers for MsmDT to work

I have OnePlus 7T (HD1903)
I have rooted it, then I re-locked the bootloader (I didn't know that will cause a problem because I'm noob :/ )
so now I can't even reach the device via adb fastboot to re-unlock bootloader again.

I'm trying to use this method to unbrick my phone, however when I connect my device, those port drivers never show up and (neither "QHUSB_BULK" nor "QDLOADER 9008") or anything else, just like undetected.

I've tried to install the attached drivers and some other from other online resources with no hope, any advice?

Oh, I figured it out. I was pressing both volume up and down + power button.
which I shouldn't. So I just pressed the volume up and down only and connect to my laptop and everything worked without any problems and my phone is finally back.

Really thanks, that really helped me to recover my dead phone

Sorry if im being dumb, or the question is answered before, but can i do all this and update to the newest OOS version right after?

Or there is a newest version of this tool already somewhere on the internet?

You can use the last available MSM for your device then do a software update to OOS11, if this is what you're trying to achieve.

Are you sure you're in EDL mode?
I press vol up and down hold it and press power. It flashes fastboot mode and i think this is the EDL mode ? At least the first page of this thread states this.
I'm adding here that my one plus 3 does not show up as q9008 as well which it did in the past

EDL mode is entered by powering off your phone disconnected from USB.

Then holding Power Up + Down and connecting the USB cable. It only stays in this mode for a short period of time if I remember.

You can also get to edl with
Code:
adb reboot edl

There is a command to get to edl using fastboot, but I can't remember off the top of my head right now.

Hi everyone, similar to the previous threads for
OP3, OP3T, OP5, OP5T, OP6, OP6T, OP7, OP7PRO and OP7T here are the EDL packages (also known as MSM tool or unbrick tool) that can revive a bricked OnePlus 7T Pro.
They can also be used to rollback your phone to a previous release of OOS.

You can download the following versions:

HD01AA tools (International and indian firmware):
    ANDROID 10:

    10.0.3
    10.0.4
    10.0.5
    10.0.7
    10.0.8
    10.0.11
    10.0.12
    10.0.13
    10.0.14

Mirror for first and last MSMs per Android version: https://onepluscommunityserver.com/

    HD01BA tools (European firmware):
    ANDROID 10:

    10.0.3
    10.0.4
    10.0.5
    10.0.7
    10.0.8
    10.0.9
    10.0.11
    10.0.13

Mirror for first and last MSMs per Android version: https://onepluscommunityserver.com/

It should work with HD1910 (Chinese variant), HD1911 (Indian variant), HD1913 (EU variant) and HD 1917 (North America) models.

    Instructions:

    Power your device off
Maintain volume up and volume down keys to get into Qualcomm EDL mode.
    Launch MsmDownloadTool V4.0.exe.
Click on Enum to be sure your device is detected and press Start.
    Wait ~300 seconds
    Enjoy your brand new device

    FAQ:

I see a target button, what is that?

As you may (or may not!) be aware there are starting from 7T-Series build specifics to India.
If you use HD01AA tool, selecting "O2" as target should give you the global firmware while selecting "India" as target should give you the Indian one. See for a screenshot.
If you use HD01BA tool, selecting "EU" should give you the EU firmware.

My device isn't detected when I click on "Enum" button

Go to device manager and make sure your phone shows up as QDLOADER 9008.
If it shows up as QHUSB_BULK, it means Qualcomm driver wasn't installed automatically by Windows Update. Download the latest one from Microsoft website at http://download.windowsupdate.com/c..._fba473728483260906ba044af3c063e309e6259d.cab (source https://www.catalog.update.microsof...updateid=8ee52ba0-bdef-4009-88cf-335a678dd67a ) and install it manually by right clicking on QHUSB_BULK and selecting "Update driver software" and "Browse my computer for driver software" to where you downloaded CAB file.

MSM tool is stuck on "Param pre-processing"

Ensure you're using the Qualcomm drivers linked in first part of this FAQ.

    What is SMT Download mode?

Just don't try to unlock that mode, it will wipe your IMEI and your Widevine certificate if you use it.

How can I fix "SMT config not found" error?

Gotcha. The OP tech people are so dumb lol I thought my device was goner.

I connected the device, it showed connected on MSM tool but after a while it loses connection, should I keep holding the buttons and press start then release them?

Ah lol, I forgot to add in my previous post that you need to press Start button quickly once device is detected.
