Hi, mine comes with the retail mode. By flashing with this msmtool, will it b disappear?
Yes
Is there any possible to convert mclaren 7T pro (tmobile) to international hd1925 im. Not grtting update at allView attachment 5245121

No, not possible to convert to international, but you can download and run the MSM Tool to update to the latest version of OOS10 since you seen to be stuck on a very old version. And hopefully you'll get a prompt to update to OOS11 afterwards

Please, I'm in dire need of HELP.

My device (OnePlus 7T Pro HD1925) has an unlocked bootloader but it's not critical unlocked.

I have tried everything to unbrick it but it won't work.

When I try to run the MSM tool, it just disappears and vanishes.

I was on android 11 before the device got bricked,

PLEASE, I DON'T KNOW WHAT ELSE TO DO. HELP ME!

You simply need to follow the directions and run/use the MSM tool.

And there is no critical unlock on this device. The command to unlock everything is simply "fastboot oem unlock" after you've gotten the token from OnePlus, which is a crap implementation on OnePlus's part because "fastboot oem unlock" (the only way to unlock the bootloader) unlocks literally everything and was never meant to be used on phones that launched with Android 10. They didn't implement Google's latest method of using "fastboot flashing unlock" and then "fastboot flashing unlock-critical"

I can't get MSM Tool to see (enumerate?) my device. I want to use it to back up the device at first. I can see the phone as HD1925 in device manager (tried to update the device driver with the Qualcomm file but windows tells me that the best driver is already installed) on Windows 7 laptop. However, MSM Tool does not see it.

I have Android 11 (11.0.1.2.HD61CB) pushed by t-mobile on the phone. Is that the problem?

I am using adb to put the phone in edl mode. I then press enumerate and nothing happens. After a few seconds (maybe 10 or a little more) the phone reboots. I also tried the Vol+, Vol- simultaneous depress, without any success.

Any ideas? Thanks

NOTE: Never mind, figured it out. MSM Tool works fine, it's the fragmented instructions all over the forums and the web that are not complete nor specific enough. Holding (Vol+ Vol-) to get to edl is unwieldy, difficult to juggle while trying to get to the MSM buttons . Using "adb reboot edl" is the way to do it properly.

As said in the OP, you need to turn your device off and enter in Qualcomm EDL mode.
Maintain power button until your device screen goes off, wait 20 seconds, maintain volume up and down keys, plug your device to your computer using OnePlus original cable and use MSM tool.
I also have the same problem, my device is also 7t pro-McLaren. But the big issue is my phone screen is black! I've no idea how to turn off the device. Whenever I press the power off button for a couple of seconds it always vibrates then connect it via cable to pc to check if it is turned off. But device manage always shows up as "Android bootloader interface" SInce my screen is black I have no idea how to turn it off. Please help me!!

While playing with the phone's Vol+ Vol- buttons (holding them for a long time) to try to do a backup using the MSM tool I found myself in the same situation. The phone got stuck (in edl mode, I am sure now, but didn't know then) and I couldn't get it out of it. Black screen, nothing else. At the same time, the device manager was not seeing the qualcomm driver, but some rescue interface, just like you do. I thought I had bricked it.

Here's what I did.

1) I depressed the power button and held it for a long time (for 10-15 or 20 seconds). I tried depressing multiple buttons before that. Ultimately, the phone started in fastboot. I then chose START (green on the fastoot screen, you scroll to it using the vol+ vol-) and the phone started normally.

2) I manually installed the Ports (COM&LPT) as it was not showing up in my Device Manager. The Qualcomm driver shows up (or should) in that menu when connecting your phone in EDL mode.

3) I went to "Universal Serial Bus devices" and uninstalled the driver that was showing underneath (forget the name, but it was something automatically installed by windows when I plugged in the phone in the USB).

4) I right clicked on "Universal Serial Bus Devices" and updated the driver with the Qualcomm driver (search the forum. You can download it straight from Microsoft, it will take a little effort to find it) that I had downloaded on my computer. Trying to install the driver from Ports(COM&LPT) won't work. Windows checks and tells you that the best driver is installed.

5) I started MSM Tool, selected T-mo, F8, Ctrl+ select all. (because I wanted a readout)

6) I connected the phone via usb and used "adb reboot edl". The Qualcomm driver now showed up under Ports (COM & LPT)

7) Clicked Enumerate and the COM port showed up. Everything went smoothly after that. I did a full backup.

Because your phone may be in edl mode, if you cannot get it out of it, you may want to just first figure out the Qualcomm driver situation on your computer. Then, when you connect the phone to your computer, you should be able to see it and take it from there.

Good luck!

And @McLarenOwner

To get out of EDL mode (the screen is supposed to be black while in EDL mode btw), simply hold power, vol+, and vol- for approx 10 seconds until the phone reboots. You can use that key combo anywhere you get a hard freeze since there's no way to take out the battery ;)

Disclaimer: By attempting any of the processes listed in this thread you accept full responsibility for your actions. I will not be held responsible if your device stops working, catches fire, or turns into a hipster and claims to have been modified before it was cool.

Hi everyone, similar to the previous threads for
OP3, OP3T, OP5, OP5T, OP6, OP6T, OP7, OP7PRO, regular OP7T, T-Mobile OP7T and regular OP7TPRO here are the EDL packages (also known as MSM tools or unbrick tools) that can revive a bricked OnePlus 7T Pro 5G McLaren bought from T-Mobile.
They can also be used to rollback your phone to a previous release of OOS if for some reason you want to go back to an older firmware :)

It will only work with 5G T-Mobile variant HD1925

You can download the following versions:

    ANDROID 10:

    Instructions:

    Launch MsmDownloadTool V4.0.exe.

    Specific to 10.0.27 and up

On the login prompt select "Other" in the dropdown menu and click on Next.
Wait a few seconds until main window shows up.

Click on Target button and select T-MO if it hasn't been automatically.
    Power your device off.
Maintain volume up and volume down keys to get into Qualcomm EDL mode.
Plug your device to your computer using stock OnePlus cable.
Click on Enum to be sure your device is detected and press Start.
    Wait ~300 seconds.
    Enjoy your brand new device.

    FAQ:

Will this fix OTAs I couldn't receive after unlocking bootloader?

Yes. Mind it will however wipe all of your internal storage and relock bootloader automatically (but you shouldn't have to reapply for an unlock token if your bootloader was unlocked previously).

Does this work on Mac or on Linux?

Unfortunately no, tool is Windows only. You should need at least Windows 7.

Why is my antivirus freaking out when unzipping the archive or running the tool?

In an effort to protect reverse engineering from being done (and by extension prevent conversion process like it was done on 6T and 7Pro), OnePlus now use VM Protect V3 in their MSM tools. As this tries to detect debug environment, this is seen as malicious behaviour by some antivirus.

My device isn't detected when I click on "Enum" button

Go to device manager and make sure your phone shows up as QDLOADER 9008.
If it shows up as QHUSB_BULK, it means Qualcomm driver wasn't installed automatically by Windows Update. Download the latest one from Microsoft website at http://download.windowsupdate.com/c..._fba473728483260906ba044af3c063e309e6259d.cab (source https://www.catalog.update.microsof...updateid=8ee52ba0-bdef-4009-88cf-335a678dd67a ) and install it manually by right clicking on QHUSB_BULK and selecting "Update driver software" and "Browse my computer for driver software" to where you downloaded CAB file.

MSM tool is stuck on "Param pre-processing"

Ensure you're using the Qualcomm drivers linked above.

MSM tool is stuck on "Sahara communication failed"

Unplug your phone, get in fastboot mode, turn off phone, wait 15 secondes and get back in Qualcomm EDL mode. You can also try using a USB 2.0 port instead of a 3.0 one.

    What is SMT Download mode?

Just don't try to unlock that mode, it will wipe your IMEI and your Widevine certificate if you use it.

How can I fix "SMT config not found" error?
