i cant use msm tools with my 8t (eu model) im running color os 12, in the device manager it shows Quectel QDloader 9008 Com 8, doesnt matter which qualcomm driver i install, please help me. i cant rollback via oxygen updater because it says i'm trying to go to a lower os version so msm tool is my only hope.

FIX:
i uninstalled everything from qualcomm
plugged the device in edl and when the quectel qloader device appeared in device manager i removed it
then plugged in edl again and the Qualcomm device appeared (even after i removed all their drivers)

im not complaining it's just that it doesn't make any sense

Please help, my phone got bricked because of Qualcomm crashdump. It won't open anymore. Then I saw this forum, I have IN2010 ver and tried to use OOS 11.0.4.4, I did all the steps correctly. I was able to connect the phone to EDL mode. after I start the tool, I then always get the "Downloading mdm_oem_stanvbk.bin Failed" error. I'm stuck here. Hope someone can help.

Hello, I have on my pc the last OOS11 build that came out before 12, can't I download the msm tool separate from these older OOS11 versions? I have official OOS12 installed and want to go back, but as I understand, the only way to get the msm tool is downloading with whatever OOS build it comes? my internet is slow and don't want to wait for 3gbs if I could download the msm tool separate!

Was stuck in bootloop after OOS12 update on my OP8. I was able to use Qualcomm flashing tool to downgrade to OOS 11.0.4.4.IN21AA. I had read something about needing to run a command to copy to inactive partition to avoid brick when updating OOS11. Scared to update to latest OOS11. Can't seem to find the correct command after googling.

Hello!

My device (OnePlus 8 IN2015_11) was updated to Android 12 but it corrupted the IMEI of device. I tried flashing it again with the official OxygenOS version 11.0.11.11.IN21DA but it bricked as soon as I flashed the boot.img. Can someone please guide me how to fix it? Bootloader is unlock. I'm using MacBook as my primary device. I have Android Platform tools (ADB/FASTBOOT) installed on MacBook and I'm pretty comfortable with using Terminal.

When I learned about the MSM tool, I borrowed a Windows loptop from a friend but so far the Windows is unable to detect the device as a Qualcomm device (I have tried more than 10 different drivers from different locations).

I would apprecite it if someone can guide to me unbrick my phone primarily from MacBook? Or guide me to do it from Windows?

Thanks.

OP
the nbricking process will lock your bootloader after. I did this after to restore my brick 1+8pro fot the correct radio . just follow the steps .update your device to the latest firmware available, by the you should be able to unlock or lock your Bootloader again.

hi guys,
i yesterday used the msm tool to unbrick my op8pro and choosed the "wrong" firmware, but i succeeded with it, now i have the AA international firmware on this IN2023 EU phone, but i will to go back to the IN2023 BA european firmware version and can´t do it with the msm tool which includes this time the BA EU-firmware in it...in the msm tool (V5.1.75 instantnoodle_15_E.34_210201) when i press the enum-button i get a message that the phone is connected to COM3 port...with press on the start-button it only gives the output in the tool that "sahara communication failed and that it is waiting for device as a status of last communication"... can someone help to get the original BA firmware back on this phone? thanks

Hello,

When I flashed IN2015 OP8, it worked just fine. I used the stock rom with no problems for about a week.

Then I wanted to flash a different ROM, and it won't let me unlock my bootloader. It's telling me to flash my unlock code or something.

When I look up the error, I find references to the T-Mobile version, something about getting a key from them. I don't have the T mobile version. I have the international unlocked version. Last time I unlocked my bootloader I didn't need a key.

Edit: Never figured out why this happened. Solution was to reflash using the newest tool and unlock the bootloader before updating to Android 12.
