Does anyone have a working link to the msm tool. Everywhere I look, it's gone or spam?
Tried to OTA this morning and now I'm stuck in EDL mode and I foolishly got rid of the tool before.

hi, everyone , i m tring to revive my hard bricked oneplus 8 pro but without any luck i m getting "firehosecheckrsp failed errno 258" error , i tried every possible solution a did find (Drivers, Cable, USB 2 , other pc) , i m convinsed tha i shoud start search for a motherboard replacements (even that i coudnt find on the internet)
so please if anyone could help me (Phone stuck on EDL mode - recognised by pc but buttons combination doesn't work )

And you have installed the correct Qualcomm drivers so that your phone is detected correctly by the PC?

Hi , I thinks i have the correct Qualcomm Drivers cause i have 2 oneplus 8 pro and the error is olny showing on one o f them.

Hello guys,

My mobile is not showing any sign for life just giving black screen with no sounds or vibration, but it is detected when connected to PC and USB driver is correct and MSM shows connected but, MSM tool stopped after 7s with status "Downloading mdm_oem_stanvbk.bin failed", and the previous status was "SHA256 doesn't match"

Please help me

You need a pc with usb 2.0!​

To un-root & Lock the bootloader, Qualcom driver it's NOT the most important thing!​

No Qualcom 9008 driver in Device Manager.(win.10 pro_x64 with the latest updates). I tried to update, both auto & manual. Not working.
For Locking the bootloader i tried first Tool from Mauronofrio, then with ADB (drivers, adb/fastboot installed). Still does not see the phone in Fastboot/bootloader mode. With the phone ON, yes.
In MSM app Android 11 shows " Not connected". I read online that could be some problems with android 11.
I downloaded MSM Android 10 , now it shows "Connected", but does not show OnePlus or anything else. I said what the hell, press Start.
It worked. Nowi am Locked, no root on Android 10.
I plugged in OTG flash drive. Copy Oos 11.0.77 to root of the storage. Flashed.
Now i am on Android 11.0.77 Locked, no root. Ready to sell the phone.

My phone is european version. In MSM i selected EU, of course.

I am sure I have used MSM on USB 3.0 before as I own a MacBook on which all ports are USB 3.0.
I don't remember if I was already on Android 11, though.

Anyway, that's good info for anyone that is having troubles. It doesn't hurt to try!

I had issues with USB3.0 in the past but I got a new boot SSD in my PC and decided to fresh install the 21H1 Windows 10 Pro build and re-did all the drivers obviously and ever since doing that MSM tool works fine on USB3.0 front header (Z490 motherboard Intel USB controller).

still no luck? I have a 8t+5g that I converted to EU with the msm tool and then tried for days to learn and understand the syntax to fash a LOS. I finally succeeded but it was my first time and I mad a mistake by flashing the twrp instead of booting it(at least I believe that was the mistake). I ended up with a bootable LOS but it was corrupted and when I later whenI was coming out of a fastboot mode the OS wouldnt boot. So I have had a similar experience. I used the MSM tool to reflash an INDIA oxygen, and now my device is fine. Dont know if the syntax is exactly the same, but I noticed you tried oem edl. Have you tried adb reboot edl? or if your in fastboot mode and you have a recovery, trty to fastboot into recovery manually or through command prompt and enable adb and issue adb reboot edl command. that might work for you.

We're you able to u brick? I have hardbricked my oneplus 8T about five times and brought it back everytime with the msm tool.

I have two unbrick tools. Dont know if they will work for you but if you are stuck in a hard brick then whats the harm in trying? I have brought this OP8T back so many times, I am very comfortable tryiing things without worrying that I will cause some irreversable damage. i managed to install the drivers from https://www.thecustomdroid.com/qualcomm-hs-usb-qdloader-9008-drivers/ but i cannot get passed "Param Preload", is there anything i can try?

as of now i can only enter stock recovery, fastboot and edl. was really hoping for msm to work

EDIT: after spending waaay to much time just trying and trying to get the software to recognize my phone and flash it it actually worked, no idea why and what changed but I do suspect my phone to be very messed up :-D excellent software, keep up the great work

I am stuck in crash dump mode. I have tried msm v4 and no go. I've used msm in the past with good results so I am baffled at this point. When I connect the device it shows up in device manager and it shows the port in msm but it's not communicating. Connection status shows N/A. Please if someone could give me some help it would be much appreciated.

Hello. I have downloaded the latest OP drivers for OP8 Pro, but MSM still doesn't see my device. what can I do?
I am on version 11.0.8.8.IN11BA and I somehow still can boot into it, but it's very unstable. Thanks in advance...
