No, no with gapps included it's better for me lmao thanks for fast replyIt has Gapps included. Don't flash gapps. If you were on a build that didn't, you will have to clean install this. If you prefer no gapps, I can work on one for you
Ok then that's all you need. It will prevent force close issues on updates, and faster update installs than installing through system updater. Just install ROM and your done unless you want root then reboot apply magisk. No, no with gapps included it's better for me lmao thanks for fast reply![]()
yes sir, thank you
I'm having the same issue. At first I thought it was only on the lock screen but I noticed it most when i'm using a screen that is white.i flashed the newest version of crdroid and it booted but the display is flickering that's really weird
Must have something to do with the included gapps package. That's the only thing that changed from last build. I'll look into it.I'm having the same issue. At first I thought it was only on the lock screen but I noticed it most when i'm using a screen that is white.
still rocking with it tho
Also having screen flickering. Additionally, having issues on boot with static screen. Same with recovery. I'm assuming the boot.img included in the build is messing something up on the phone.Must have something to do with the included gapps package. That's the only thing that changed from last build. No flickering as I can see in my few test done during setup from scratch install. But I havent used the previous version wirh issues, so not sure 100% ...02/07 update:
Possible resolution to screen flickering and boot up. I will test later, if anyone else has time, please help me out and let me know if its fixed.
The previous version had a boot screen issue, it appeared as if there was a problem with the Lcd and the screen would flicker. If new build doesn't, then its fixed? No flickering as I can see in my few test done during setup from scratch install. But I havent used the previous version wirh issues, so not sure 100% ...
You can use the a12/a13 twrp located on other thread. You can also use custom recovery also if you want. With twrp, you would boot twrp first.@TheSayaMan
Thank you so much for this rom, it is really amazing.. I just have a question, what would be the steps to take to flash magisk? Do I need TWRP or can it be done with the current recovery? If so, what would also be the correct way of flashing TWRP?
Thanks again
Perfect!!! Thank you so much, I thought that was the way of doing it but it is my first time using this ROM and I just didn't wanna screw it up, I appreciate your prompt answer and the hard work you've put to make this awesome ROM, I love it. Oh one last question, is there any way of enabling the seconds on the status bar?You can use the a12/a13 twrp located on other thread. You can also use custom recovery also if you want. With twrp, you would boot twrp first.
fastboot boot twrp.img
(or whatever the name of the twrp file is.)
When you enter twrp, you would select install current twrp if you want to keep it permanently. With my crDroid version with gapps, you can put magisk.apk on your phone and install it with twrp. On my lineage version with gapps, you can't install it through twrp, you will need to either sideload it with twrp or custom recovery. What I think is easier to install twrp permanently is to sideload magisk in custom recovery and then use the twrp.zip file from that thread and install it as a magisk module to install twrp. That will also install twrp. Then you can install magisk again through twrp to have both root and twrp.
Yes, settings, crDroid settings, clock & datePerfect!!! I can't and won't provide support for illegal software which lucky patcher is to get it working. That also goes for custom kernels, which is the case for most developers anyway. My only fix is to do a clean install because dirty flashing I can guarantee will not fix the problem.@TheSayaMan
Alright so everything was fine until I installed a LP modded version of Play Store... Now I broke the play store, any suggestions on how to get it back to working?
I appreciate the answer, I uninstalled LP and reinstalled a regular playstore apk, it still won't work, so there's no way of flashing gapps to make it work without having to do a clean install?I can't and won't provide support for illegal software which lucky patcher is to get it working. The build keeps failing or building with gapps on my present machine. This weekend I will set everything up on a separate machine, one for gapps and one without and I'll upload it. I haven't given up, just having problems.@TheSayaMan What about the non-gapps build?? I'm not asking ETA btw.
First off, its not ignorant to ask a question that's not answered, although I think the OP does state to sideload. I didnt take this as ignorant at all. I've been working crazy hours and I haven't been able to update. The latest version is 02/25. On updates, just reboot to twrp or crDroid recovery, whatever one your using, and install update and boot back to system. If you want root, you will have to go back to recovery and sideload magisk again since the update overwrites the boot.img. I can look into getting a OTA server, so what your asking is feasable, its just that it will take much longer to update that way. Its much quicker to sideload updates on any custom ROM.Maybe an ignorant question but I'll ask anyway... If I understand correctly, we can do OTA updates with your ROM, from what I understand is that we would see a new update under the Settings/"updater" tab like when using stock firmware or does it just mean that we can download the update and update manually through there? Reason I ask is because I haven't seen any of the updates come through there since I've had the ROM and every time I open it I get a "no new updates found" message. I'd appreciate any feedback. Thanks!!!
Great.. I appreciate it bro..The build keeps failing or building with gapps on my present machine. This weekend I will set everything up on a separate machine, one for gapps and one without and I'll upload it. I haven't given up, just having problems.
Unless another ROM posts their information on their github account, its impossible. I had the same problem when asked if I could add the SF display font used in Nameless ROM. Nameless does not post the information on github for public use and it might be because they don't want anyone to use it or share it, and if that's the case, it would be illegal without permission anyway. I searched Xtended and can't find anything either, regarding what you are asking for. I could ask them but may not be willing to share that information, especially when its not shared with the public.@TheSayaMan Can you replace moto dolby with dolby app used Xtended ROM??? It supports dolby atmos for third party apps like Apple Music.
I will send the dev a PM and seeThank you for the response. Btw can you ask the devs? It's fine if they don't gave the information. It was there on crdroid before moto dolby was added.
I appreciate the kind words. Thank you!Flashed the latest build.... So far excellent.... Hats off to @TheSayaMan for regular updates to the ROM. No other ROMs updated so frequently here like yours....
I pushed a update already today. This will require some extra work and time. I will include it in my next build but it won't be today. If you can make a build today i can test it. I'm going back to OOS now.
