To be fair I did, and then did it anyways.

I guess the updating with a PC only is a nonstarter for me. But the crash was good because I'm trying other ROMs now.

That TWRP is busted anyways. No encryption on backups and then the backups don't restore.
If you would have updated by system update as instructed then there would be no issue. Trying other roms will result in same problem if you try updating with TWRP. It's a TWRP problem, not roms problem.

Yeah no joke.. on fact I always go after TWRP for backups and I don't think they have ever worked. Not once.

Then the problem I was trying to solve, WiFi constantly connecting and disconnecting to reconnect.. every 5 minutes has nothing to do with your ROM and instead has to do with my WiFi network.

I still like your ROM. This one, does OTA updates. Now they are huge at 2.5gb and take like 45 minutes to install, then over flashed TWRP anyways, doesn't really support root, and no phone call recording.

That way great about your ROM. Built-in call recording.

I just wish Google apps was included, and OTA updates worked.

I can offer you a server if that would help do OTA.

I have a server and it won't be any quicker. You would still have to download the update and let it install. A gapps build is coming at some point. I'm just experiencing problems right now with it. For now, to update much quicker, you can use custom recovery. Adb sideload update, reboot recovery and sideload gapps then boot to system.

I will be posting a new build soon that has gapps baked in. It will be mind the gapps. I had too much trouble getting it to work with nikgapps packages. Because of this, anyone on a previous build, must do a full wipe and perform a clean install. This will avoid long waits on updates in the future. You just reboot to twrp, install update and twrp again for twrp survival, then reboot to system. Reboot to twrp if you want root and install magisk again and your done. For now, I am retiring the previous non gapps builds. If I have the extra time, I will have a gapps and non gapps version. I'm just too busy with work for that right now.

I need to learn to spell man sorry I meant
ear piercing volume, IE lowest volume levels of in call/alarm etc are still very high IE someone sitting next to me can hear phone call as if they are on the call.
Oh ok lol. That's ok, this isn't english class. The volume does seem louder than it should be. I'll have to see what I can do, maybe use a different source.

Maybe an ignorant question but I'll ask anyway... If I understand correctly, we can do OTA updates with your ROM, from what I understand is that we would see a new update under the Settings/"updater" tab like when using stock firmware or does it just mean that we can download the update and update manually through there? Reason I ask is because I haven't seen any of the updates come through there since I've had the ROM and every time I open it I get a "no new updates found" message. I'd appreciate any feedback. Thanks!!!
First off, its not ignorant to ask a question that's not answered, although I think the OP does state to sideload. I didnt take this as ignorant at all. I've been working crazy hours and I haven't been able to update. The latest version is 02/25. On updates, just reboot to twrp or crDroid recovery, whatever one your using, and install update and boot back to system. If you want root, you will have to go back to recovery and sideload magisk again since the update overwrites the boot.img. I can look into getting a OTA server, so what your asking is feasable, its just that it will take much longer to update that way. Its much quicker to sideload updates on any custom ROM.

@TheSayaMan Can you replace moto dolby with dolby app used Xtended ROM??? It supports dolby atmos for third party apps like Apple Music.
Unless another ROM posts their information on their github account, its impossible. I had the same problem when asked if I could add the SF display font used in Nameless ROM. Nameless does not post the information on github for public use and it might be because they don't want anyone to use it or share it, and if that's the case, it would be illegal without permission anyway. I searched Xtended and can't find anything either, regarding what you are asking for. I could ask them but may not be willing to share that information, especially when its not shared with the public.

Thank you for the response. Btw can you ask the devs? It's fine if they don't gave the information. It was there on crdroid before moto dolby was added.
I will send the dev a PM and see

My GitHub account posted for WatchDogs by request. Build your own or make changes to source. Someone with more knowlege than I, can make this ROM even better!!

Can anyone else confirm this problem? I received a PM about this and its the first I heard of it.

    YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!!!

I am not accepting donations. Enjoy!!!

Follow WatchDogs on GitHub or build your own!!

WatchDogs is a ROM I created based on LineageOS & crDroid source & dependencies and I thank them for its use. SafetyNet and CTS passes whether your rooted or not. Modules not required.

Before you begin, if you don't have the latest platform tools installed on your windows machine. Download it here:

CHOOSE ONE BUILD!!! WITH GAPPS OR NO GAPPS!!!

    Flashing Instructions

    First time installation (clean flash):

OOS 13 - F.18 firmware is required but F.20 or later is recommended

    Backup your data

Download the ROM you want, and firmware flasher for your device, listed further down on this post and place all in your platform tools folder,
Extract all the contents in platform tools, Firmware flasher in folder.

You may either adb sideload firmware with custom recovery or install via twrp. This will remove the orange warning that the device is unlocked. If you decide to flash a different ROM other than crDroid, the warning will come back.
Boot to recovery and factory reset then adb sideload

    adb sideload WatchDogs-WITHGAPPS-13.0-20230324-lemonadep.zip

    Reboot to system

reboot to recovery if you want root

adb sideload magisk.apk or adb sideload magisk.zip

    Reboot to system

NO GAPPS PACKAGE. NO GOOGLE APPS INCLUDED.

    adb sideload WatchDogs-NOGAPPS-13.0-20230324-lemonadep.zip

    Update installation:

TWRP SUPPORTS UPDATES. SIMPLY BOOT TO TWRP AND INSTALL UPDATE.

Updates can be also sideloaded with custom recovery. Updates do not appear in system updater.

    Sources:
    ROM
    Kernel

    Downloads:
    ROM
    FIRMWARE FLASHER

    Bugs?

    Let me know.

DO NOT FLASH THE NO GAPPS BUILD WITH DIFFRENT GAPPS SEPERATELY. I WILL NOT SUPPORT OTHER GAPPS PACKAGES SO PLEASE DON'T COMPLAIN TO ME ABOUT IT.

Flashed the latest build.... So far excellent.... Hats off to @TheSayaMan for regular updates to the ROM. No other ROMs updated so frequently here like yours....
I appreciate the kind words. Thank you!

Hi folks, I think this is common sense but someone sent me a personal message stating that I broke their phone because of my rom. They flashed my crdroid based rom, rebooted to recovery and then flashed my lineage based rom. NO!!!!!!!! I thought this was obvious but apparently not. You pick one and only flash the one version then reboot to system and your done unless you want root. Just clarifying this so no one else tries this. Apparently by my report, it causes a crash dump and you have to MSM back. This was user error. I test my builds before I publish them to prevent such things but if you don't follow instructions, things like this will happen. I have crash dumped my phone in the past but never published the build. And also, they both include mind the gapps minimal so do not flash gapps because that will cause problems also.

If you can make a build today i can test it. I'm going back to OOS now.
I pushed a update already today. This will require some extra work and time. I will include it in my next build but it won't be today.

    Update 01/18:

Minor changes to status bar icons

Made changes to advanced color control using my wife's OP8T which works on her phone running Pixel Experience. Implemented it to work on OP9 Pro.

Long press on fingerprint scanner is still broken.
