No. My builds include gapps. Flashing other gapps will lead to more problems.

A clean install is going to solve your problems. Just use migrate. My entire wipe, rinse, and restoration of files/modules/settings process takes only an hour, tops.

i flashed the newest version of crdroid and it booted but the display is flickering that's really weird

That was fixed on latest build

02/05 build was deleted because it had boot up and flickering problems that were resolved in my 02/07 build. My next builds will be the February update.

Which build are you using? I'm on latest crDroid version and it works for me. Open assistant and set google as default. When you speak hey google, it will work. You can also use a Bluetooth headset and press the call or answer button instead of saying hey google.

Are the proximity sensors broken in the ROM or is there a way to turn them on and off? By default every time I use the phone for a phone call, I put it to my ear and the screen doesn't turn off, it stays on and the touch of my ear turns on the flashlight and all kinds of things, I don't know why this is happening.. Any advice?

The fix is to just tap and release the power key, that will turn the screen off. I tried making a call without bluetooth and your right it was happening to me too. Unfortunately its the crDroid and LineageOS source code, so there is basically nothing I can do about it.
