Search Google "latest Qualcomm USB drivers" , that should lead you to what you need.
No but you can use the India MSM because it doesn't check the target ID. Then you can do local upgrade to EU using the oxygen updater app.
It will as long as you didn't alter the model with a different MSM. Example being, if you have the T-Mobile model and decide to convert it with the EU to T-Mobile tool, now you can't use the T-Mobile MSM to return to stock here. You would have to use a modified MSM located elsewhere.@craznazn Can your MSM Tools savely be used in this case https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/after-magisk-update-qualcomm-crashdump-mode.4528579/ to restore stock firmware ?
I had no trouble going back to Tmo with the Tmo MSM after converting to EU using the conversion tool. I think the problems come when using CN or IN but it's probably good to be cautious anywayIt will as long as you didn't alter the model with a different MSM. This is not true, my conversion MSM does not alter your model. It will as long as you didn't alter the model with a different MSM. Can you extract a stock TMO Param.img and flash it to correct any modifications the IN MSM tool may have modified? This is not true, my conversion MSM does not alter your model.
You might be referring to the India MSM that is used as a last resort, which does for some reason alter the param partition.
In general, if you want to go to stock, use the original MSM for your device. As long as the crash dump isn't caused by a hardware fault, the MSM should work to restore.
I don't see why not, but param should not be modified in general due to the propensity of breaking other things like fingerprint. Can you extract a stock TMO Param.img and flash it to correct any modifications the IN MSM tool may have modified?
Not for TMO variants. Once you use the IN version of MSM tool, you are stuck with IN variant unless you can figure out a way to change that!I don't see why not, but param should not be modified in general due to the propensity of breaking other things like fingerprint.
If you end up with an IN version, you can still just use manual updates to get to another region's ROM
I don't think so because these are stock file and are released with particular version that the phone booted out of the box. So in this case it was OOS11.can I use this MSM tool to flash the latest OOS 13 Rom or does it only work with the OOS 11 rom that's included in the download?
I want to avoid going through all the incremental OTA updates.
AFAIK, the tool is specific to the version of the OOS included in it. You may be able to flash a higher version after tweaking (if possible) the tool. I have no idea about it.can I use this MSM tool to flash the latest OOS 13 Rom or does it only work with the OOS 11 rom that's included in the download?
I want to avoid going through all the incremental OTA updates.
If you loved HTC phones, (I did as well, the M8 was my 1st good smartphone), you COULD buy a pixel. when HTC really fell off with the 10 and started to nosedive, Google bought HTC to manufacture the Pixel Phones. So, Pixel phones ARE HTC's, Google is a software co, they dont manufacture.I agree with only buying samsung and oneplus, but how I wish HTC would still make phones. By far the HTC M7, M8 and M9, are the best phones ever made, they were built to last, and where way ahead of it's time.
But I am intrigued on google working with Samsung to develop their own SOC, I think is name code white chapel, I want to see what google can accomplish with that, better battery life, better integration with custom camera... I don't know i have good feeling about it.
Not that I'm aware! What would happen if I flash msm globall to an EU variant? Is there anything negative to consider?
Go to device manager and make sure your phone shows up as QDLOADER 9008.
If it shows up as QHUSB_BULK, it means Qualcomm driver wasn't installed automatically by Windows Update. Download the latest one from Microsoft website at http://download.windowsupdate.com/c..._fba473728483260906ba044af3c063e309e6259d.cab (source https://www.catalog.update.microsoft.com/Search.aspx?q=qualcomm hs usb 9008 ) and install it manually by right clicking on QHUSB_BULK and selecting "Update driver software" and "Browse my computer for driver software" to where you downloaded CAB file.
Use the proper MSM tool.
Hello Brothers,By using these tools, you accept full responsibility for your actions. Your warranty is void should you run any of these utilities without OnePlus support present. I am not responsible for bricks, fires, nuclear war, etc.
If you modified any partition not touched by MSM, namely param and persist but there are others, you face a possibility of a hard brick. MSM will reset your "Enable OEM Unlocking" in dev settings and you might get a corrupt boot. Restore your backups before attempting. That said, If all you just tried to convert a ROM using OTA payload.bin, you should be fine.
I've noticed that there is a bunch of loose threads with MSM tools posted, and some revisions still don't have it available. I decided to put them all in 1 place.
If you don't know how to use these utilities, see https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/...l-to-restore-your-device-to-oxygenos.4180837/, as the instructions are the same.
