AOSP 8.0.0 - Honor 7x

Introduction

Welcome to our first release for the Honor 7X. At this time, the rom state is Beta.

This is AOSP 8.0, based on the Nougat firmware released for the 7X.

How to install:
  • Download the rom from the Downloads section
  • Wipe data from TWRP and remove encryption
  • Flash the provided zip file
  • (Optional) Install Gapps if you are going to use them (now's the moment)
  • Reboot (it may take some time)

Known bugs:
  • Camera (both of them)
  • Bluetooth (intentionally disabled)
  • VoLTE

How to seek help or report a bug:
As always, we need as much information as possible to be able to fix any bug you may come across, so be descriptive and supply as much detail as you can when reporting a bug, not just "wifi not work...help pls".
Finally, I just want to thank the rest of the OpenKirin team (@surdu_petru, @OldDroid) for their huge contributions and all of you for your support.

Keep in mind, this is the first release, we want to see how it's working on the rest of variants and see how to improve it. The bluetooth issue will be fixed in the next update (it's disabled by now) and the cameras will hopefully be fixed as well soon, I'll provide more details in the coming days.

P.S: If you don't have TWRP I have uploaded a basic one in the Downloads section for you to flash the rom.

Maybe you can use the vendor partition (or some of it). The kernel source is already up, I'll upload the device and vendor tree shortly.

I will test on my PRA-LX1 and see if will boot since we share same platform, the hi6250! ;)
Edited: tested, isn't booted, it's better to wait the official update.

Thanks for the first AOSP ROM . I can't try right now as I need booth Bluetooth and Volte for my daily usage and I expected they'll fixed soon.

When I read the post that there won't be EMUI 8 till Q2 of 2018.I thought without Treble Support I wouldn't be seeing any custom Roms but here I'm. Thanks again man

Thank you so much for making this rom , i've installed this rom on my huawei honor 7x the international version , i noticed one tiny issue (maybe im doing something wrong) but i can;t seem to get gapps to install , i've tried installing open gapps , when i do that it shows a message in twrp that says my device is nougat and arm based , what i did is i just wiped data , i think that removes the encryption right ? but overall the rom works great , it's stable , and the one other issue is the builtin keyboard kept crashing , so i installed gboard, if you need any logs let me know so i can post them here
Edit:
gapps are working now , turns out i wiped the system partion before installing the zip and that messed some stuff up , but now i restored system and it worked fine :D , only other bug i found is the fingerprint doesnt seem to work
