AOSP 8.0.0 - Honor 7x​

Introduction

Welcome to our first release for the Honor 7X. At this time, the rom state is Beta.

This is AOSP 8.0, based on the Nougat firmware released for the 7X.

How to install:

• Download the rom from the Downloads section
• Wipe data from TWRP and remove encryption
• Flash the provided zip file
• (Optional) Install Gapps if you are going to use them (now's the moment)
• Reboot (it may take some time)

Known bugs:

• Camera (both of them)
• Bluetooth (intentionally disabled)
• VoLTE

How to seek help or report a bug:
As always, we need as much information as possible to be able to fix any bug you may come across, so be descriptive and supply as much detail as you can when reporting a bug, not just "wifi not work...help pls".
Finally, I just want to thank the rest of the OpenKirin team (@surdu_petru, @OldDroid) for their huge contributions and all of you for your support.

Keep in mind, this is the first release, we want to see how it's working on the rest of variants and see how to improve it. The bluetooth issue will be fixed in the next update (it's disabled by now) and the cameras will hopefully be fixed as well soon, I'll provide more details in the coming days.

P.S: If you don't have TWRP I have uploaded a basic one in the Downloads section for you to flash the rom.

Sorry if I'm asking very basic questions, but please let me know as I'm thinking to install this rom and I'm on stock, bootloader locked ROM.

1. Bootloader unlock will wipe the phone internal storage ?
2. Will rooting and twrp installation makes the phone devoid of further OTA's or is the process reversible ?
3. Can the camera issue be resolved by installing a 3rd party app ?
4. If I'll unable to use VOLTE, does it affect 4G mobile data too or only VOLTE calling ?
5. How and which Gapps package to install as many users complained that they are unable to do that ?

Please answer in a brief way and I'll get it. You don't need to be descriptive so I think it will take just a few minutes to answer these if anybody wish to help me out

Camera and lte are almost essential next to calling and texting..
Would love it when its fixed to get hands on..
Few screenshot would be amazing too.

Android 7.1 opengapps wont flash. Says to install 8.0

cant get through the setup and keep getting "setup wizard keeps stopping"
Also get a critical error when I boot says to contact my manufacturer

8.0 requires 8.0 GApps. Wipe then reflash rom then flash 8.0 gapps.

after using Stock gapps: used is 12.03gb (i also have the rom and gapps on the phone still)

How much is the battery consumption?

it practically died from about 60 to 8% in an evening just sitting in my pocket.

Finally!! Stock ROM for Honor 7X

I really appreciate the efforts that have gone into making this possible. Thanks Dude, a lot of users would love to see some stock love for the honor 7X. I'm going to install it and make a review on it. Let me know if you want me to share the link afterwards.
