Damn **_** I thought I'd wait till official EMUI / Official Oreo sources drop... @XePeleato , Great effort ? keep it up ?
Just wait for Huawei to release the stock firmware, so that you can restore it if something goes wrong. Huawei hasn't released stock firmware for neither of our devices.Friends, sorry for dropping by, just a honor 9 lite user over here. All I need to know is whether the posted recovery will work in 9 lite also coz apart from the screen size, ram & dual front camera, 9 lite & 7x are preety much same.
P.s ~ mine is 32/3gb LLD-AL10 8.0.0.142(C675) #afterfaceunlock update
Not sure about the bugs but I see the GitHub was updated 3 days ago so fingers crossed!any update about bug fixing ???

any update about bug fixing ??
Damn Huawei, launching good devices yet holding back the stock firmware is a preety nasty problem for moders. Added to the fact that there are certain problems that needs to be fixed asap. For me, missing of inbuilt equilizer & non supporting of the 3rd party equilizer is the most frustrating problem although fast battery drain & slow charging is yet another problem.Just wait for Huawei to release the stock firmware, so that you can restore it if something goes wrong. Huawei hasn't released stock firmware for neither of our devices.

AOSP 8.0.0 - Honor 7x
Introduction
Welcome to our first release for the Honor 7X. At this time, the rom state is Beta.
This is AOSP 8.0, based on the Nougat firmware released for the 7X.
How to install:
- Download the rom from the Downloads section
- Wipe data from TWRP and remove encryption
- Flash the provided zip file
- (Optional) Install Gapps if you are going to use them (now's the moment)
- Reboot (it may take some time)
Known bugs:
- Camera (both of them)
- Bluetooth (intentionally disabled)
- VoLTE
How to seek help or report a bug:
As always, we need as much information as possible to be able to fix any bug you may come across, so be descriptive and supply as much detail as you can when reporting a bug, not just "wifi not work...help pls".
Finally, I just want to thank the rest of the OpenKirin team (@surdu_petru, @OldDroid) for their huge contributions and all of you for your support.
Keep in mind, this is the first release, we want to see how it's working on the rest of variants and see how to improve it. The bluetooth issue will be fixed in the next update (it's disabled by now) and the cameras will hopefully be fixed as well soon, I'll provide more details in the coming days.
P.S: If you don't have TWRP I have uploaded a basic one in the Downloads section for you to flash the rom.

I have been following this closely and I was wondering the same if there is indeed development going on and may be there is the next better version? Can we expect it??Hi, Is there a version 2 with some of the bug fixes ? Thread looks stagnant a bit !

You do you man, thanks for all the hard work that I know you are putting into this!I'm kind of reluctant to answer these type of comments, because with a bit of logic the answer is obvious.
Have I ever hidden an update from the public?
Is there any comment from me about stopping development?
But the thread is dead! - You may say, but that makes sense doesn't it? I'm not updating the thread because I'm working on it! I have nothing to say, I could create a thread to talk about my life but it wouldn't be allowed here...

well you see this ROM is on Android Oreo so it only makes sense to install Oreo GAppsAndroid 7.1 opengapps wont flash. Says to install 8.0
cant get through the setup and keep getting "setup wizard keeps stopping"
Also get a critical error when I boot says to contact my manufacturer
People feel very welcome to bother others about things that they themselves could easily figure out or by simply doing a Google search. Xda used to be a much better place.well you see this ROM is on Android Oreo so it only makes sense to install Oreo GApps
Its like people start to demand these small things xDPeople feel very welcome to bother others about things that they themselves could easily figure out or by simply doing a Google search. Xda used to be a much better place.
Yep.So this is the only custom ROM for the 7x?
