Can I flash it with TWRP? Only ask because the site says they don't support or recommend (not sure how it's worded) using TWRP.

Do not use TWRP. If you have bugs and errors with the ROM after flashing with TWRP, then don't expect support or help.

I'm running OpenKirin Lineageos v4 on my Mate SE now. Other than a couple modes not working in the EMUI camera, it works very smooth.

Probably yes, but these are beta builds so they might not be rock solid stable.

So I am trying to install lineage and i did a full wipe and format. I installed the img from fastboot with minimal adb and when i go to boot into system it fails once, then after rebooting, it goes to erecovery. Anyone got any info on what im doing wrong?

Everything you need is right. Just go to custom recovery something like twrp and format the data. You're good to go.

Has anyone tried both the phhusson and OpenKirin versions of Lineage?

I'm currently running Lineage v4 from phhusson's Treble-experimentations github, but I'm curious if anyone has tried both and can compare?

I've been running OpenKirin Lineage v4 as my daily driver for over a week. Not going back to emui.

Huawei camera is pretty bugged, it's integrated in Lineage and RROS on open kirin but it's bugged

Remix os is stable if you want try its very good rom (and compatible with substratum) if you install magisk these roms will pass safetynet

Is there any update coming regarding the rr os camera. Actually the camera crashes when switched to wide aperture mode and portrait mode. Even theirs problems regarding audio.
