I did. I went to an official OnePLus service point to have the image loaded. OnePlus uses whitelisted IPs to dowload the images, and I was not on that whitelist. There was no cost involved.

Same here, only I still have access to fastboot. The problem may have to do with the issue mentioned by mbootsman1 above.HiI think I hard-bricked my OnePlus Nord... (It cannot even boot into fastboot mode any more.)
I tried the MSM tool over and over again, but it always stops at "Param preload" "6s" "Device not match image".
I tried 10.5.2 and 10.5.11, different USB cables and I tried it multiple times. Is there anything I could do?
I can't download any MSM tool here maybe because of the hosting server maybe. Anyway I have a India Nord here, can I just flash stock global rom so I can get 5G? Warning:
As this happened on OnePlus 8 and OnePlus 8 Pro Pro, it is advised to take backup of /persist partition before crossflashing (eg going from European to Indian build) as fingerprint reader may give an error related to enrollment issue. You can do so by using dd if=/dev/block/bootdevice/by-name/persist of=/sdcard/persist.img (you must have root access, see https://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-nord/how-to/guide-how-to-root-oneplus-nord-t4139411 for that) and moving it to your computer/cloud.
Instructions:
Launch MsmDownloadTool V4.0.exe.
On the login prompt select "Other" in the dropdown menu and click on Next.
Wait a few seconds until main window shows up.
Click on Target button and select O2 while using global tool or India while using indian tool or EU when using european tool.
Press Start button (this is done so that device will be "captured" automatically by tool instead of going back to normal boot after 10 seconds)
Power your device off.
Let it cool down for one minute.
Maintain volume up and volume down keys for at least 40 seconds to get into Qualcomm EDL mode.
Plug your device to your computer using stock OnePlus cable. (You may let volume keys go once done.)
Wait ~300 seconds.
Enjoy your brand new device.
FAQ:
Does this work on Mac or on Linux?
Unfortunately no, tool is Windows only. You should need at least Windows 7.
Why is my antivirus freaking out when unzipping the archive or running the tool?
In an effort to protect reverse engineering from being done (and by extension prevent conversion process like it was done on 6T and 7Pro), OnePlus now use VM Protect V3 in their MSM tools. As this tries to detect debug environment, this is seen as malicious behaviour by some antivirus.

OnePlus for the device and Os
So, in short:Can someone please confirm this, as I am little insecure (with usual disclaimer that I am solely responsible for what happens if I do it).
I have AC2003 with F.19 and I am not satisfied how my phone behaves. I wish to downgrade to OOS11.
So, I must download appropriate tool from first post and run it to install OOS10.
Then I have to download ZIP file with 11.1.11.11 from [OnePlus Nord][ROM][OTA][Oxygen OS] Repo of Oxygen OS Builds and flash it.
And that's should be it?
Are there any pitfalls, caveats?
This phone is my daily driver and I don't want to mess things up. Thank you!

Any help would be great
Hi there, can you please the following:
- what has led to the brick
- whether the device not match image error explicitly says the current project ID (eg 20886 on the second screenshot of my Nord N10 thread)
Is your phone bricked? If not which ROM and recovery are you currently using?
The device state is locked, so I think you are using OxygenOS? Can you startup the OS normally? Or is only fastboot mode starting? I read your old messages but I still don't understand the current state of your phone and why you are trying to use MSM tool. Can you give mire information? Without it is really hard to give instructions.I don’t know if is bricked, I see this on fastboot mode. i tried this msm https://onepluscommunityserver.com/list/Unbrick_Tools/OnePlus_Nord/Global_AC01AA/Q/
Well strictly speaking you don't need to use the MSM tool to unlock the device bootloader, now with that said if booting Android keeps leading to the Qualcomm crashdump mode, then of course you'll need to use the MSM tool first to flash OOS before enabling the OEM unlock toggle in the developer options.. I'm trying msm tool because from what I understand you need it to unlock the boot loader. b
Have the device manager window opened, scroll to the COM and LTP ports sections and expand it. If you notice its window is refreshed immediately after plugging the device while the screen is still off, then it should be properly detected, and clicking on the Enum button in the MSM tool window should list it.
I don't believe fastboot oem edl ever existed on OnePlus devices.Ok, that helps to understand your situation better. I googled a little bit, maybe you can use the fastboot mode to get into edl mode.
First install fastboot.exe, if you haven't before:
If your phone is detected, it is printed.
Have you used the original USB cable or different cables?
Maybe it helps to install Google USB drivers: https://developer.android.com/studio/run/win-usb
This is a brand new set and I first noticed it after I set up my phone. The usual data transfers, reinstalling apps etc. But now, it will not go away. Im thinking it's like that out of the box, just that I did not notice it earlier.
So far I have not had any issues functionality wise and my local OP support tells me to ignore it and a future update will fix it. They're not sure of the cause either and could not fix it.
This message keeps coming back even after multiple factory resets + a ROM reflash. I'm trying to rule out a hardware issue.
I did notice that this app is one of those that you remove when you debloat your OP set. I'm sure it would go away if I did that but if theres an underlying issue I might just be setting myself up for a catastrophic failure in future.

I have a NVBackupUI(thread here) error msg that refuses to go away.
I have used your guide to reflash OOS 10.5.2 but the error message is still there.
Do you by any chance have any idea on a way to resolve this?
Hi, my friend really messed up with his phone. Phone currently have encrypted data partition. Problem is that msmtool doesn't detect phone at all, also device manager doesn't show it while its in msmtool. Anything he can do?
