What about video out? Can you connect it to an external monitor, using a USB type C to HDMI? Because on the previous Find N no HDMI out via the USB, only when using docks compatible with DisplayLink.
I haven't tried it... I actually never extended any of my mobile phones to connect to an external display so... Dunno.

Nope. Every now and then I find some notifications went silent for some reason, despite turning off battery optimization for the app and so on.
The Do Not Disturb is BS... it rings and plays notifications anyway...
I've been watching reviews of this phone and reading up about it. This is why I prefer reading about people's experience and real world reviews as most reviewers won't pick up on something so important as DND mode.

Can you confirm that silent mode at least works instead or is there a way to global disable all notification sound and vibration from every app at once but allow the notif icons etc to show up like in silent mode.

On Xiaomi we have this feature where you can enable DND but allow ring sound for phone calls always regardless of DND. That's one feature I like on my Mi 9.

Also does Google find my phone work on it? With the aggressive app closure of coloros I'm hoping things like GPS, Bluetooth, WiFi etc can be left on at all times. As I do this on my Mi 9 and still get a full days battery use.

The screen on the left of home screen, can you customise that enough to get rid of the Chinese texts and messages or overwrite that with Google discover instead somehow?

I bought a 512gb Find N instead of 512gb Find N2 just very recently because there was a $700 price difference between the two in my country.. so.. the choice was obvious.. I'll maybe try N4 next time.. lol..

So far DND works for me. No notifications sound.

May I ask where you ordered from I'm in the UK and wanted to order from trading Shenzhen but they don't have the white version available which I would like. If the black version was glass I would have ordered that instead. The greens out of the question not my colour. Also warranty giztop states they provide ones years repair warranty I think or defect warranty.

I ordered the green and I think it's stunning!

Have you put a screen protector on the inner display or are you using the one that was factory installed? If so do you think it will last a long time without micro scratches building up? Have you installed a glass protector on the outer display or left that as factory SP as well?

Also does Google maps timeline work on color OS 13? I need this feature to work 100% I've seen mixed posts about it not working on color OS 13.

I think I'm going to wait till march to order since mwc is on February 27 to March 2nd.

Hi, I just got my N2 a couple days ago and can't stop thinking if or if not there is a pre installed screen protector on the inside? It feels like it but I know some foldables had the issue that the screen felt like it's a protector while in fact it was the screen.
Can anyone clarify the situation for me ? Thanks in advance

Yes, there is a pre applied screen protector on the inside and outside.. while the one outside can be removed without issues, u should NEVER remove the inside one because doing so well kill the screen immediately.. I know someone who removed the inner screen protector on their Find N n it killed 80% of the screen n cracked the UTG down the middle..

Yeah got the phone alright :)
Works great and it's quite impressive really in terms of size, usability and all... I am happy. Pretty sad that Oppo doesn't release it globally - it would definitely smash the sh1zl3 out of Samsung.
What would you like to know about the phone?
Hey ! Are you still happy with it? How is battery life? And can see if google pay works on it? 🙏 Thanks

I've had mines since last week of December. Google pay works in the US, phone is still awesome

It does miss notifications sometimes but that's the case usually with all these imported phones and battery life is crazy! Easily lasts me more than a day with light usage, a full day with heavier usage (using both inside and outer screen)

I got the green one. I'm coming from a rooted Xiaomi Mix Fold 2. At first, it got super annoying going back to the CN strict-heavy rom but, it doable in the US

Cons:
- Launchers still don't work without work around.
- Google messages doesn't send messages to non-RCS users if you send a message with hot words that have to do with money.
- Only 5 apps can be locked (running fully in the background, auto startup from boot) at a time.
- Even if notifications are set AND you chose to never revoke access, some apps still won't send notifications unless you mess with the setting again (usually toggle on/off)
-default messaging app doesn't allow group sms (all messages are recieved separately)

Pros:
- super duper compact and perfect in every way (hardware wise)
- 5g is a major go (reason why I sold my first oppo find n)
- everything else not listed above runs super smoothly (in California, on TMobile)
- Pictures are really good and videos too

I have my Xiaomi watch running on it fine, when my notifications don't work on the phone sometimes, it always does on the watch.

Unboxing was crazy, holding the little green hulk felt perfect. Really hope a global rom gets released or someone finds a way to root this phone.
Yes im also looking for the global ROM version. The theme store is in Chinese and i can't pay for anything. Can't use nova launcher. Swipe down is all Chinese. Don't have a region button to switch to English. I need a global version rom download

Got the Find N2 on Feb 14th, from Giztop, delivered to the United States in 5 days. Came with Google Play Store and Play Services already installed. Installed Google Pay with no problems. Color OS 13 works great (better than ZTE MyOS 12 on my Nubia Z40). 5G is very strong on T-Mobile. Nova launcher only displays correct when phone is turned vertical. (got it to launch with the Tasker solution, but display all wrong). Notifications come in fine when the permissions are given. Battery life seems very good, lasting all day. Charging is very quick.
Very pleased with it so far, got it in black with 16GB RAM/512GB. Very glad i bought it.

I juste received mine and I'm very pleased with it for now, despite of the few constraints we know thanks to the Chinese software.
I just tried to change the phone app by default. I would like to set the Google phone app by default. Unfortunately, each time I receive a call, I have the ring song but the screen does not turn on. I have to unlock it, and touch the notification to launch the call, which is very annoying...
I gave all the permissions I could to the Google phone app...
Is there a way to make it turning the screen on when someone calls me so that I can directly reply or deny easily by swiping?

u need to remove the original phone app or else CN rom always try to default back to their original app..

Did you get Android Auto to work without rooting? Or any other app to play music in your car via Bluetooth?
I'm using Waze with Deezer connected to the app without any problem

Are you enjoying it guys? I’m hovering over the button haha

The price for N2 and Mix Fold 2 are more or less the same. Which do you prefer? Really tempted to order one of these two foldables.
    Honestly, it's up to preference.

I still think that the Mix Fold 2 is superior in a couple of ways but,

Phone is way bigger, but slim enough to not feel bulky at all

    And

I get more 5G with the Oppo than the Mix Fold 2

And No Flex Mode at all on the Mix Fold 2.

    But,

    Other than that, I think the Mix Fold 2, especially for the price point it's at now, has a lot of bang for it's buck;

Easiest phone to root and make feel completely like a global ROM

Has the same Video processing chip as the one plus phones that upscales ANY videos to 120hz

    Battery lasts longer

Speakers are placed in a good place (not both firing down like the Oppo)

Picture and video quality is up to par with the Oppo, oppos new image engine does slightly edge it though

Yeah...Mix Fold 2 is def my foldable, and still is, but I'm a tech geek and buy almost every new item that comes out so Ive had the first find n, the vivo x fold, the Mix Fold 2, the Mate XS 2, Galaxy z fold 4, iphone 14 pro, z flip 4, and currently, I have kept the Mate XS 2 , the Mix Fold 2 and I think I'll keep this Oppo find N2 around too, especially since there was A LOT that oppo did to make it feel more 'global' after so many updates.

But yeah, Mix Fold 2 for me. At least for now!

Thanks for this informative reply. Some follow up questions. Which of the two is more comfortable to hold when unfolded? Which one do you think is more robust/less fragile?
The mix is way bigger but still feels good to hold because how thin it is. It does feel a bit more slippery though because if the glass like back. The oppo N2 has the Matt black on the green one which is good but because the speakers both face down, you have to hold it a certain way so that it does not block the speakers.

In terms of fragility, I’ve had my mix fold 2 since august and I use it with no case at all and it still looks as good as the day I bought it. I do have a front screen protector (plastic, Matt) and a back screen protector (plastic) on it, that was I don’t have the back getting Scratched up, and a glass protector on the camera bump.

I’m going to use the n2 without a case as well but I’m waiting on a back screen protector that I ordered.

I ordered mine 5 days ago from Alixpress and it's on custom process right now, they will release it today and will git it tomorrow.
