That is correct. You can download the zip file for 2ZQKO put it on your SD card and then update from SD card if you are on the latest Verizon firmware (2BKQ5).

That worked perfectly! Now running Android Oreo on my Verizon S8+!
If you want to go back to stock, 2BQK5 now available for download on Sammobile.
Does anyone have a direct link to the G950USQU1AQGL firmware? 3 days to download is getting silly.
If I go the samsung.firmware.science route and update from sd card, if I want to go back to stock do I odin back?

Just updated from SD card to Oreo beta 4, working perfectly so far.
ZQKQ now available but need to Odin back to BKQ5. Then immediately enter recovery on boot and flash latest. December security patch highly worth flashing.
No just flash AP,BL,CP leave csc blank when it is about done flashing hold down. Volume up and Bixby so when it restarts you go straight to recovery and flash ZQKQ.
I am on AQK3 and I can't seem to get anything to flash. I tried different versions of Odin and also tried BQK5 and AQGL. Is there some "trick" to this?
You should be able to flash BQK5 no problem from Odin. Download 3.12.17 which is the latest version also try a different USB port
Sure enough! USB C to USB C was the wrong answer. Worked fine with the factory cable.
Updated to Oreo 8.0 beta 4 
1) Via Smart Switch updated to QK5
2) Then downloaded from site QL7
3) Added on SD update.zip
4) I rebooted the phone in Recovery
-In order to transfer S8 to Recovery mode, you must first turn off the device, and after performing a couple of actions:
-Press and hold the special Bixby button and Volume Up + Power switch Samsung Galaxy S8 in Recovery and Download
-After the screen saver appears, lower the power button, but continue to hold the Bixby button and Volume Up
-Keep these buttons until the Android logo appears on the screen on a blue background
-Release the buttons
- After a few seconds, the Galaxy S8 smartphone will boot into Recovery mode.
5) was shared via install update zip
6) restart
The flight is normal, everything is still on the phone. But it's good to create a copy before this process

What is the 2ZQKS firmware. It's the only one listed for the BQL1 update that came out today.
Not seeing 2BQL1 as option in firmware science link but 2ZQKS is a later build date then 2ZQL7 even though by logic L would be newer then K. Are you sure you can go from 2BQL1 to 2ZQKS?
On ZQKO OREO beta, device will lock up requiring force restart within 5 minutes of watching youtube
