I have created an Oreo campaign for Lenovo P2, K6 Note, K6 Power and K6 devices. If we all support this campaign, maybe we can change something.

Hi mate
I do not want to discourage you or anything but one thing I have learnt from such campaigns is that it doesn't work. I have done it for more than 5 devices and not only one got the update. I'll suggest you unlock your bootloader and flash a custom ROM and at the same time, just keep your campaign alive but do not get yourself into it that it'll work because from my experience it doesn't but I hope I'm wrong in this case

I'll sign the campaign for you anyway and good luck !

See it's always a standard. Medium Phone manufacturers give security updates upto 2-3 years and android version updates for 2 years. Lenovo would probably focus on their flagship devices like z5 pro n all . It's commendable for the petition but it's a waste. My advice is flash a stable ROM. sure you gonna loose the left power key function but it's worth it. Atleast i am getting proper software updates with all up to date securtiy patches.
In the end, it's yout wish. Do what's best for you !

It's just not gonna happen. I have a Lenovo Tab2 that they gave up on a long time ago too.

Just forget Lenovo, unlock your bootloader and install LineageOS. Still passes Safetynet even with Magisk root.

Sadly I have to agree,Lenovo only give a year of updates and do not seem bothered about existing devices.
Glad we have some Devs who keep this awesome phone current
