is this the whole rom IE can I just flash it over nae and have it work ?
Is this the same issue as in KitKat which i used folder mount app to fix? If so can you explain how to do this with the method your speaking of? :good:Mine is working fine. This rom still needs the media_rw fix in the platform.xml to enable rw for the extSdCard.
No I found it.Is there a super secret squirrel version of this update... or do the links in the first post that everyone else has used, just not work for you?
Maybe all the earlier pages have been deleted!!! :crying: Or, have you just not looked? Since you said you "NEED" this I figured that you'd have gone the extra mile to find it... but maybe not.
*fyi, yep, first post is still there *whew* and the links work for me*
I attached an image of the mod that needs to go into the platform.xml file.Is this the same issue as in KitKat which i used folder mount app to fix? If so can you explain how to do this with the method your speaking of? :good:
I ended it up rooting device again, just to delete DDEXE and then name DDEXE_REAL file to DDEXE, then unrooted, and flashed Lollipop rom, and everything went fine.Any progress? I'm in a very similar boat.
You can also flash this to update to OD2: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=60675409
Also, fyi to everyone...the OD2 aboot qfuse counter remains the same as NG2. This means that you can Odin back to at least NG2 at anytime after updating to 5.0.
I don't feel like typing a long explanation but in a nutshell it is a "flag" in the aboot file which allows for downgrading to previous firmware versions that share the same "flag" value. It prevents downgrading when that "flag" is upticked in new firmware versions.Gotta ask, what's the aboot qfuse counter in layman's terms? Thanks for the info!
Did you try wiping everything including internal storage? You also could very well have a bad download. I have had zero issues and imo, this is by far the best update from Samsung/Sprint to date....well worth the wait.Sorry but this has got to be the worst Android OS I ever laid hands on. After jumping through hoops to get everything functional... took me a couple hour nap, woke up and turned my phone on and app after app after app is crashing. Even tried a reset and still everything crashing and I didn't have anything but the OS installed. I'm rolling back to 4.4 tomorrow.
