i ordered 2 from ebay, eta around May 5. i need to ask however, i tried opening carefully with my hands the back cover and it doesn't seem very removable... do i need any tools ? i worry i may damage my phone.

When I ordered mine a disassembly tool was included. The cover went off without any problems, I started at the bottom with the USB port hole and then the corners. I didnt damage my phone although I wasnt very careful

Is there a battery cover that is real black (not dark grey as original) and that is no slippery as original?

the 2 pieces i ordered arrived (pretty soon by the way), i bought them from ebay for 7 euro each. mine were a navy blue and a red one of which the latter didn't work properly. the buttons had a poor tactile feedback. the blue is just fine, you can tell it's not authentic and doesn't seem it can last more than a few months but my phone finally has some character ! the sim trey didn't work in either of them, so i use the original grey one. i replaced them using the iphone repair kit, there is no other way of doing it properly.

i don't think you can find a real black cover... they are a little bit less slippery than the dark grey original but not much of a change. you can find many sellers in ebay or aliexpress.
I ordered a red cover from this seller http://www.aliexpress.com/store/1801148 and I am very satisfied, it has nice soft touch finish, the buttons and the cutouts are well made and the sim tray fits into the phone without any problems.

TBH I wasn't satisfied with it at all. It had a yellowish mark on one corner, the edges were very rough, the buttons were too much inside the body (it was hard to press them) and what was the worst - it broke when I put it on. It was made out of so soft plastic that it actually teared from some places. So I put my original gray one back on.

I got the dark grey cover but I really want to try the white one now! Can someone who already bought white, recommend me a good seller? Thanks in advance!

FYI, in case anybody is wondering -- I ordered 5 different color replacement backs off of AliExpress, ~$3 each. The colors are all quite nice and they fit perfectly. I'm very satisfied with them, though I wish the soft touch material was more grippy like the back of the Nexus 5. They all came with matching SIM trays and a cheap plastic screen protector. All except the white and stock are matte. So if you want an actual black back, this is a good one.
