dr.ketan, I really need your help

First, I have my note 2 N7100 and it's all stock, no root, no custom recovery, pure stock. And Yesterday I did the software update via OTA to Android 4.3 and I have new bootloader and KNOX stupid things. And now I try to root it with your method via J5 bootloader and wifi patch. But when I flash with Odin it shows FAIL! :crying: It says, unsupported version

Now what should I do? I try to flash original ROM MJ5 with Odin and it's fail too? Is this bricked?

No it is not bricked... download the 4.3 stock rom from sammobile and flash it via odin... nd keep in mind that now you cant downgrade to mj5.. ul have to bear with the knox bootloader

So I must download firmware latest than mj5? I think my last firmware is mk2, so I need to download stock mk2?

And how to root this 4.3 with knot bootlaoder enabled? because I try to root yesterday and this happened.

You have to flash custom recocery (philz recommended) and then download dr ketan multitool advance v5.zip and then install multitool.zip via philz recovery and then open aroma file manager .....then go to system/app and then rename all knox apk to knox.apk.bak .....I mean rename all knox app to .bak extension ...Don't rename .odex
Then reboot and after that reopen multitool via recovery and proceed with multitool and then root

DN3 and this patch

After installing the latest DN3 I had no wifi so I patched it as described here. Wifi works.
However, the hotspot functionality is not working, my other device is able to connect and auth but after that it can't download anything trough the hotspot connection.. any ideas?

I get random reboots on my n7100. Im using the old KNOX-FREE bootloader and wifi patch.
I use odexed mk4 rom (rooted)

If i flash the MJ5 bootloader and then flash MK4 rom and then ROOT will the bootloader show KNOX 0x1?

Or maby i first flash MK4 rom and ROOT (done with old knox free bootloader) and then flash the MJ5 bootloader, can i still downgrade to the knoxfree bootloader?

For N7100
As all of you are knowing latest 4.3 built have new bootloader and samsung have implemented knox security.

Also note that latest leaked 4.3 (MK4) having new bootloader and it may not be downgrade.
I will update this post later for details.
If you want to use latest ROM without bootloader, you may need to use wifi patch.

Download wifi patch , extract and flash with Odin for PDA tab.


I already have mention this on one of my thread but making this separate so any bootloader related stuff can be posted at single place

Extract the rar file, put the patch.md5 file on pda tab in odin pc, then start flashing.

i try to flash the wifi fix on some other rom it work,
but i try to flash the wifi fix on my custom rom(MK4) it automatic go to recovery(phil touch) after finish flash and after reboot it still not working.
is there any file that i remove effect the wifi fix?

and I am having some issues:
1. My phone occasionally dosn't recognize my sim card so I can't make or receive calls and no internet connection.
2. The S-pen shows air command only when I pull it out, but not when I press the button on it.

If tou can please help me, I really appreciate it.

.I tried it with mobile odin and it didn't worked. but then i tried flashing with normal odin and since my phone rebooted to recovery mode, I did a wipe too. and now I have WIFI.

u did a wipe again when reboot into recovery(after u flash it with pc odin?)

Yep, I did a wipe right after flashing wroth odin.
But all the new roms -Dr Ketan, Phoenix and DN3- works well without wifi patch.

Its not that they work without wifi patch.. its jist that once you flash the patch, it remains there till you don't flash a bootloader.. it doesnt get wiped when you wipe to install a new rom

All is well. No FC at all. Great!!!
Only the wifi can not on.

Account gmail, OK. Not lost.
I dont use Wifi, so I dont check it.
So,
Restore apk in Titanium backup.
Install Moded Play Store.

at night, my friend need HotSpot.
I want to on Hot Spot, but the wifi can not On at all.

This morning I flash Wifi Fixed.
but didn't success.

I am not able to flash wifi patch.The result is FAIL. Thanks to share your success.

I use 3.06 and used PDA tab to flash WIFI patch. Sorry for the late reply!

I flashed Dr. Ketans custom rom. Before that
I flashed stock rom through mobile odin - Lost WIFI, and then flashed WIFI patch. No idea about knox
Root is there.

i am on official mk4 with knox enabled bootloader... how can i make it knox free ?
