i am on official mk4 with knox enabled bootloader... how can i make it knox free ?

As of now, there is no way to make the bootloader knox free or downgrade it... however you can kill the knox system apps with aroma file manager so that you can root stock mk4 and knox will not interfere

one more thing.... i successfully rooted official mk4 using dr. ketans advanced tool.v5( deleting knox file using aroma file manager )... after that whenever i flash any 4.4 or 4.4.1 custom rom (cm11, omni , omni asylum ) i am getting network problem . it comes for a sec. and then its lost for about a minute or two.. i tried changing baseband but no success... also tried changing linux status from enforcing to permissive ...
any custom rom with 4.3 or below is working fine ( network works perfect.. )
so does the knox enabled bootloader disabling network on 4.4 roms?

No
Having new bootloader doesn't require wifi patch.
Basically patch needs only if you don't want to upgrade bootloader (to keep possibility to downgrade rom and reset counter)

To flash custom rom you don't need to root, simply flash philz recovery and flash rom

Does this include any modems? as my phone is a special case i cannot install anything with a modem. Im running T889V Rom with T889(TMobile) modem. a year ago i had installed a rom that had a TMobile modem in it and it completely currupted all 4 sectors of my IMEI. so i sent it away for repairs to MobileTechVideos.. they fixed it immidiately. now my problem is when i install MasterX 4.3 Rom everytime i turn the screen off my Data signal goes to that O with a line through it telling me i have no data signal.. but as soon as i turn the screen back on the data signal comes back and i get messages again. do you know whats wrong or what u can do to fix this? any insight would be greatly appreciated! thanks man!

Do you think this patch will work if it's integrated (included in the flash file) for stock or any other ROM or this has to be flashed separately ?
I was planning to pack a file (flashable via ODIN) and include this patch so everything can be flashed in one go.

Can someone tell me if this is the correct way to apply wifi patch?

1) Place phone in download mode
2) Start Odin
3) Plug in USB (verify COM)
4) Click AP button/PDA
5) select MD5 wifi patch
6) press start
7) phone reboots automatically

Just make sure only 'auto reboot' and 'f. Reset time' is ticked and 'repartition' is NOT ticked.. else it is correct method :thumbup:

1. once on 4.3 MK4, i guess PC odin says unsupported device when u connect via download mode, then how to flash the recovery?

2. I am on 4.1.2, can I use 'auto CF root' and then flash 'philz recovery' using PC odin-> flash your multi tool v5 -> Root -> flash any custom rom 4.3 and knox counter will still be zero? please suggest if anything wrong

3. if i am on custom rom 4.3 after above procedure, how to downgrade to 4.1.2 again? Just to claim warranty in case and dont want counter to set.

i am from sl I9003 community where we flash pit + other files for clean flash and downgrading, i have read this thread so any help would really be appreicated.

I also have the same problem , fail and unsupported version. Tried this odin 3.04, also the same...
Anyway to fix this wifi problem? Ive tried everything still wifi cannot connect..

I am still trying to get my WiFi to work after MK4

I flashed Dr. Ketas's MK4 V6.1 ROM yesterday; my N2 is buttery smooth and the battery life looks good. However I lost my wifi. I have flashed Dr. Ketan's wifi patch using PC ODIN but still no wifi.

Here are my phone stats;

Baseband N7100DDEMJ9
Bootloader N7100XXUEMJ5
ROM N7100XXUEMK4

I am thinking of flashing the PIT file and then the wifi patch, is this what I should do now?

Appreciate any pointers from anyone who have face similar problem.
