Does De-KNOX mean Resetting Knox??
I have upgraded to 4.4.2 and want to root the device...
What are the ways via which i can do it withour triggering KNOX?

Hi... not sure if this has been asked or not. Recently i have updated to 4.2.2 on my Note 2 (GT-N7100). After the update i found that my wifi cannot be used, thus i thought that there must be something wrong with the installation. So i decided to reinstall the firmware but only this time i told my self, might as well i root it... so i did. I followed the galaxynote2root. com and it worked. I flashed the omega rom 4.2.2.. It was successful bu the wifi issues is still there. I checked at the omega rom for fix and it said that i should have the new bootloader... and i did.. but the wifi issue is still there. Thus i decided to send for warranty. Only this time i was aware of the knox thing. So when i completed flash to stock firmware, my phone cannot detect my career. funny part is that now the wifi works.

So, then i decided to root back... only this time using the TeamWin recovery. Done and i flashed back the omega rom... but now i am stuck at the startup screen... I know now my warranty is gone.. but is there a way to fix this?

I am rewriting this thread to make available common tool at one place. Though this tool is available since long but newbies unable to find it.
Here is description How this tool can be useful on latest 4.3 ROM

How to use This Tool

• Download Philz recovery (avoid latest v) from here and flash using Odin with PDA tab. Newbie can refer this image
• Download DrKetan Multitool adv V6 and copy to SD card
• Reboot to recovery (Home + Power + Vol up)
• Select Install zip from SD card and navigate to Multitool file you have copied as said above and flash

This will start Aroma and now follow wizard. Remember you have to select option which you needs, you can skip any option which you don't like.

After Root with this tool if you get FC SuperSU / Binary update fail, for that just update it from play store and it should work fine.

i tried to flash custom rom but after that i cannot access mobile network, it says insert sim card.. but i can use text and call.. why is that?

Uninstall Wifi tether patch (Broke)

Everything was fine but once I installed this patch it killed ALL forms of tethering 3rd party, 1st, EVERYTHING.

I already disabled Knox. I installed this patch blindly following instructions here as I was installing this rom:

And it killed all tethering on my Note II (T-Mobile branded SGH-T889). I have tried resetting the device including clearing, cache, dalvik cache, etc avilable through CWMR 6.0.4.5 and then reinstalled the rom again but still no luck. Various things happen from WiFi not working at all to the system tether crashing as soon as I tab the switch to enable wifi tether.

Is there a way to uninstall this?

Maybe if you read carefully you'd understand that I have the phone on hand, and I have to help a person in this specific case, and I can not do many experiments, but I needed a simple and straightforward solution for a non-expert.

Keep efs.img
On root directory of Int SD
Install

Thanks dr.ketan,but how he can connect his phone to play google without imei ? it need's to some apk file i think.

backup is a file compressed( around 80KB) in a folder named my_efs backup and it's a tar/rar format.
The problem is for installing any application it nedd's an apk file because it's impossibile to use internet connection and play store or google play

thanks dr.ketan i have checked the file and it's a tar file :efs_05Jun2014-0250.tar and if i decompress this file i see this image,can you confirme the metod 3 or 4 are for me?

edit: when i try the metod 3 ,opening moun/efs i can see only a new page with unmount/efs and many other voices,how can i installa the tamirda file zip?i have made a folder in phone section called "efsbackup" and copied the only file craeted in aroma ,in this tutorial when say : " 2.Copy all files & folders from the EFS backup into "efsbackup" folder(The files are like in the picture)" i have only one file,what mean's all the file? and can see any picture,please help

hi dr please help me:
i was had 4.1.2 then i want to be flash 4.4.2 india after flash this rom(4.4.2) my phone imei and baseband was true but when i wanted call showed: not register in network
then i flash 4.3 and i flash kernel and modem pached(mj5) ... now i can call but wifi not be on
also i flash wifi fix for mj2 but dont on wifi again

I've tried MANY ROM sNOW.. Phantom, Omega.. even gave SlimRom a chance.

WIFI and Bluetooth are JUST NOT WORKING!! Its not about Disconnection.. THEY JUST DONT TURN ON (in sammy based roms *#0011* does show wifi to be ok!?

I tried to upgrade bootloader (dr. ketan) to kitkat version (his post #5). Also tried the other here on post 2, "patch" on Omegas first post (by dr ketan i think) using Odin.. that didnt work!!

Anything else!! Feel like throwing this off the balcony.. urghhh
