Hi
is this root need to unloock the bootloader ?
Is the root will remove everything on the device ?
If yes how to do backup ?

Which bootloader? What phone you have: N7100 or N7105? 4.1.2 or 4.3 or 4.4.2?

No root method removes anything from the device (unless one is highly stupid)

Backup is needed when you flash custom roms.

Flash custom recovery on your device. Search for Philz recovery latest version.
Download and flash it via ODIN.

Boot into recovery and do Nandroid Backup. You should be fine.

I installed diamond ROM and lost wifi (upgrade from 4.2 Omega ROM) . I seem to be stuck at the "Get PIT for mapping..." stage for a very long time and then write operation fails. What am I doing wrong?

Are you using the "PDA" option (also called "AP" on newer Odin builds)? It shouldn't be messing with the PIT, unless you made some boo-boos.

I flashed the new bootloader. That solved my problem! I was upgrading from 4.2 to 4.4. Just found out about what Samsung did.

WiFi stops working intermittently

WiFi stops working intermittently on my N7100 after switch to 4.4.2 ROMs, i have tried multiple custom 4.4.2. ROMs, result is same.
I have even tried wiping internal storage completely and installed latest stock ROMs till NJ2, no luck
I am on the latest bootloader NJ2, downloaded stock & BL "NL1" today, will try that in sometime, but not sure if that really fixes the issue.

Anybody facing similar issue, please help.

I am rewriting this thread to make available common tool at one place. Though this tool is available since long but newbies unable to find it.
Here is description How this tool can be useful on latest 4.3 ROM

How to use This Tool

• Download Philz recovery (avoid latest v) from here and flash using Odin with PDA tab. Newbie can refer this image
• Download DrKetan Multitool adv V6 and copy to SD card
• Reboot to recovery (Home + Power + Vol up)
• Select Install zip from SD card and navigate to Multitool file you have copied as said above and flash

This will start Aroma and now follow wizard. Remember you have to select option which you needs, you can skip any option which you don't like.

After Root with this tool if you get FC SuperSU / Binary update fail, for that just update it from play store and it should work fine.

Can this be used to root stock 4.4.2 NI1 firmware?
Please help sir, I have tried some methods to root but whenever i flash any custom rom , wifi does not connects and imei is also blank.
Only Flashing stock firmware again, resolves wifi and imei issue.

flashed the recovery in the first post with odin,odin says success and device rebooted!
I tried booting to recovery and it showed the android recovery !!!
I'll try to flash twrp

i have tried everything but nothing worked..
only a thing i will try.. to flash original firmware 4.1.1 and return to stock
the warranty is void (knox 0x1) :crying:
i'm sure on the problem.. is the new f.... bootloader!
if anyone know a metod to flash old bootloader on top of the new, pls help us, with Odin is impossible

SOLVED for me..
Download wifi patch , extract and flash with Odin for PDA tab. (first post of this thread)
i flashed this fix many times but nothing, then I tried from a different pc with odin 3.10 and it worked!
strange thing, but now everything is fine, wifi range is perfect! Try it

I can install the multitool succesfully, however, when I got the the options and I select them it sometimes just hangs?.

Try again it. Flash that NG3 stock ROM using Odin and immediately after this don't reboot device normally but manually reboot to recovery and wipe data (factory reset) with stock recovery. Note that this will erase data on IntSD too so make backup first.
If that doesn't solve your issue then likely it should be hardware issue.

How do I know that I have hardware issues if my wifi and
Bluetooth works fine but after several hours I get the warning
Unfortunately, Bluetooth share has stopped working.
A reboot normally fixes this but later on I noticed that wifi won't be
Able to disconnect or connect if off. Trying airplane mode severally
Or rebooting does help.
I've flashed custom 4.4.2 rom but the same problem persists

am also having similar problem.

samsung note 2 -rooted - eclipse rom v8 marshmallow

after flashing this rom,i was able to use wifi for more than 2 months(wild guess) untill one day,
it started to behave like this.

it shows "saved secured" but wont connect - i tried with different router ,my friend's wifi , office,
no matter where i go , it just wont connect.

i guess it got something to do with the Phone's wifi kernal or modem.
tried forgetting and connecting
i tried FXR Wifi fix, but no luck
tried diffrent roms(cleared cache/dalvik cache)
i don't know how it suddenly stopped.
Bluetooth is working fine btw

please help

Patch does not work

I flashed this on T-889 and it doesn't solve the issue. When I tap on the Wi-Fi switch, it slides to On, then 5 seconds later, it slides back to Off.

Any other ideas for solutions?
