Found a bug. Too bad we can't report. Netflix app didn't work even by deleting the data. I had to download the apk and install it manually.

Odin3_v3.13.3b: HERE

Android 12 BETA For U1 ONLY
BETA 1 BL2
N986U1UE2ZUK7 ***IMPORTANT*** You need to be on U1 firmware N986U1UES2DUJ7 to flash the Beta 1 file.
BETA 2 BL2
N986U1UE2ZUKA ***IMPORTANT*** You need to be on Beta 1 to flash the Beta 2 file.
BETA 3 BL2
N986U1UE2ZUL1 ***IMPORTANT*** You need to be on Beta 2 to flash the Beta 3 file.

This CAN NOT be flashed in Odin and it will wipe your device.
  • To install, extract the downloaded files. In each folder there will be a file named "Update.zip" and "Update2.zip". Do NOT extract these files, leave them zipped.
  • Copy both the "Update.zip" and "Update2.zip" files to the main root of your Ext SD card, they MUST go there (They cannot go to the devices internal memory)
  • Power the device off and boot into Recovery.
  • Navigate to "Apply update from SD card" and select "Update.zip".
  • Navigate to the "Update.zip" file and select it.
  • The system will take 10-15 min to update then will reboot and bring you to the set up. Don't set up the device, just power off.
  • Boot into Recovery.
  • Navigate to "Apply update from SD card" and select "Update2.zip".
  • This will install the Beta 2.
  • Navigate to "Apply update from SD card" and select "Update3.zip".
  • This will install the Beta 3.
  • If you're coming from Beta 1 to Beta 2 all you need to flash in recovery is Update2 and Update3
  • If you're coming from Beta 2 to Beta 3 all you need to flash is Update3
If you do not have a Ext SD card you can use the instructions to load via ADB from @warriorvibhu HERE

Things to know:
  • Gpay seems to be having problems, Samsung Pay seems ok (MIGHT be fixed with Beta 2)
  • eSIM option is available on Beta 2, not on Beta 1
  • It does seem to register you in the Beta Program in Samsung Members, so you'll receive updates
  • Both Beta 1, 2 and 3 are BL 2, so reverting back shouldn't be a problem at this time. If the Beta program moves to a firmware that is BL 3 you will be stuck on it until the Carrier/Unlocked versions move to it. You have been warned :)
  • If you want to go back to stock Carrier/U1 you will need to wipe the device. This will also include when 12 is officially released to this device too.
  • Again, these are Beta firmware, there will be issues with them here and there so if you rely on your device to be 100% reliable don't flash them. and of course, if you decide to flash, you do it at your own risk :)
Thank you for sharing the links!

I made a guide regarding the installation process and linked it here. I hope it helps!

This is great but at this time I don't see any reason for anyone with a Note 20 Ultra to be flashing OneUI 4.0 Beta considering all N20Us should have the OTA stable version of Android 12 by the end of this month. If Samsung is to be believed regarding their rollout dates for each device then we should get it this month, and personally I'm going with what Samsung is saying considering my mom's Verizon S21 got OneUI 4.0 last month which is exactly when Samsung said S21s would receive it.
Well sir, that's the joy of flashing 😉. It doesn't matter if it's dropping next week, there are those of us who that flash it just because we can

With this new Beta 3 update, does anyone know if AT&T Advanced Messaging works? Me and my wife use it. We used to use Google RCS but are now on postpaid plans. Google RCS was draining our batteries like crazy so we switched texting apps when we went to postpaid. I REALLY want to be on this Beta, but with RCS draining my battery because you have to turn off battery optimization, I'm forced to stay on stock because I have to have AT&T Advanced Messaging. Does anyone know if or how to get this working?

No Firmware Unlocked U1 doesn't have Advanced messaging on AT&T, Google Message does have it.

If you have a TMB SIM installed, download the odin and the top file in post 2, flash the BL/AP/CP/CSC (not the HOME _CSC). Backup, because it will wipe.

Edit.... You have to have an active TMB SIM installed in order for it to install the features that come with a TMB device
Sorry to bug you again, just getting around to doing this as I haven't had the time to mess with it.

Just curious why I wouldn't use the file named N986USQS2DUIC TMB ... looks like the file sizes are the same for this and the first file on post 2? Is USERDATA not needed? I thought that it was to get the carrier specific features. Thanks again.

No problem at all, ask any time!
DUJA is the latest TMB release
The CSC gives you the carrier features.
If the download has the USERDATA file, flash it too

I get that. I actually flashed my OnePlus 7 Pro from the TMO version to International and was thinking of flashing my N20U, but tbh I'm not really sure what the benefits are. I do see it's possible but could you explain to me what the benefits will be? Will I get regular updates faster instead of waiting longer for AT&T to release them, will I get Android 12 faster again instead of having to wait for AT&T to release their version? The one major factor for me flashing my 7 Pro to international was that it got rid of the TMO bloatware and I received updates faster, so will that also be the case if I flash my AT&T N20U?

Samsung and US carriers are super weird about updates. I thought I'd get updates faster being on the U1 firmware, but sometimes, AT&T has it first.
I'd assume with android 12 coming out, unlocked will get that officially first since AT&T isn't on the beta and they probably need more time to solidify their bloat.
A few things about just jumping on the beta though, it is a beta, so things can be a bit off. GPay doesn't work because it's unofficial firmware currently. Netflix doesn't work for the same reason.
And just going from AT&T to unlocked, VOLTE still works, visual voicemail works, tethering works, the only thing that I feel I lost is AT&T's video calling and AT&T advanced messages, which both only work between AT&T users with Samsung phones anyway, so I never used them. I use DUO for most video calls, and I've used google messages for texts since they added RCS.

Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Ultra
I have actually been impressed with at&t since they have have been pushing updates much quicker before t-mobile and the other carriers including samsung for its own U1 devices. This was never the case before.

For those interested, here's the new features for U1 Android 12

    Build Number : N986U1UES2EULI
    Android version : S(Android 12)
    Release Date : 2022-01-12
    Security patch level : 2022-01-01
One UI 4 Upgrade (Android 12)

    Color palette

Customize your phone with unique colors based on your wallpaper. Your colors will be applied to menus, buttons, backgrounds, and apps throughout your phone.

    Privacy

One UI 4 offers strong privacy protection to make sure your personal information doesn’t fall into the wrong hands.

    Permission info at a glance
See when each app accesses sensitive permissions such as Location, Camera, or Microphone in Permission usage. You can deny permissions for any apps you don’t feel comfortable with.

    Camera and microphone indicators
Keep prying eyes and ears away. A green dot will appear in the upper right corner of the screen when any app is using the camera or microphone. You can also use quick panel controls to temporarily block all apps from using the camera or microphone.

    Approximate location
Keep your exact location private. You can set apps that don't need to know exactly where you are to only have access your general area.

    Clipboard protection
Keep your passwords, credit card numbers, and other sensitive information safe. You can choose to receive an alert whenever an app accesses content copied to the clipboard in another app.

    Samsung Keyboard

More than just typing, Samsung Keyboard is all about expressing yourself and having fun.

Quick access to GIFs, emojis, and stickers
Self-expression is a tap away. Get to your emojis, GIFs, and stickers directly from the keyboard with a single button.

    Animated emoji pairs
Can’t find the right emoji? Combine two emojis together, then add an animation to really get your feelings across.

    Even more stickers
Spice up your conversations with a variety of new animated stickers available to download.

    Writing assistant
Keep your grammar and spelling on point with the new Writing assistant, powered by Grammarly (English only).

    Home screen

It all starts on the Home screen, where your favorite apps and features are just a tap away. One UI 4 helps you keep your home screen looking its best all the time.

    New widget design
Widgets have been redesigned to look better than ever, with info that’s easy to see at a glance and a more consistent style.

    Easier widget selection
Having trouble finding the right widget? You can now quickly scroll through the widget list to see what’s available from each app. You’ll also get recommendations for useful widgets to try out.

    Lock screen

Use widgets to handle quick tasks without unlocking your phone, whether it’s controlling your music, checking your schedule, or capturing your best ideas.

    Listen where you want
Switch audio output from buds to speakers to your phone, all from the Lock screen.

    Voice recording
Got a great idea? Record a voice memo without unlocking your phone.

    Calendar and schedule at once
Check today’s schedule along with your calendar for the rest of the month on the Lock screen.

    Camera

Enjoy a simpler layout while you take pictures and videos. The scene optimizer button only appears in Photo mode if there’s low light or you’re scanning a document. Portrait and Night mode settings are now tucked away and more intuitive.

    Lens and zoom
Lens icons show the magnification level, so you know how much you’re zoomed in.

Video that never misses a moment
Recording starts immediately after you tap the Record button, instead of when you release it, so that you catch those precious moments before they’re gone. In Photo mode, you can touch and hold the Shutter button to start recording a quick video, then drag your finger to the Lock icon to continue recording without holding down the Shutter.

    Keep your single takes going
Add 5 seconds of extra time to Single take captures so you don’t miss a moment even if it goes into overtime. It’s also easier to select what you want to capture.

    Pro photography
Stay in control with the redesigned Pro and Pro video mode settings. The cleaner look helps you focus on the shot, and the new level indicators added to the grid lines help you keep shots balanced.

    Enhanced scanning
Scan documents, then tap the magnifying glass to zoom in and edit them immediately. You can also do more after scanning QR codes, like calling or emailing someone instead of just adding their contact info to your phone.

    Portraits for pets
Take beautiful pictures of your furry friends with various portrait effects. Portrait mode now works with cats and dogs on both the front and rear cameras. Some portrait effects can only be applied after you take the picture.

    Gallery

Whether you’ve got thousands of pictures and videos or just a few treasured moments, Gallery makes it easier to find what you need and keep your collection organized.

    Enhanced stories
See your stories come to life with highlight videos that are created automatically. Just tap the preview at the top of each story to watch. You can also explore where the pictures in your stories were taken in the new Map view.

    Easier albums
Sort through albums more easily—even if they’ve got tons of pictures. In fact, you can sort albums by how many pictures and videos they contain so that your favorite and most used albums are always at the top of the list. A cover image also appears at the top of the screen when you view an album to give you a better feel for what the album contains.

    Worry-free remastering
Revert remastered pictures to their original versions at any time, even after they’re saved, so you never have to worry about losing the original.

    More control over information
Change or remove the date, time, and location of your pictures to correct it or keep it private. You can also select several pictures and edit their information at once.

    Photo and video editor

Sometimes your photos and videos need a few tweaks. One UI’s Photo and Video editors are there to make your pictures look their best before you share them.

    Emojis and stickers
Use an emoji to cover the face of a shy friend or add stickers to create fun pictures and videos.

    Video collages
Make moving collages that include pictures, videos, or a combination of both. Pick out the perfect moments and create your masterpiece.

    Lighting control
Picture too dark because of bad lighting? The new Light balance feature helps you pull out all the details to make it look great.

    Highlight reels
Easily turn a set of pictures and videos into a beautiful movie. Just choose a theme, and the AI will add the music and transitions automatically.

    Never lose the original
Get bold with your editing! You can now revert both pictures and videos back to their original versions after they’re saved, or save them as copies to keep both the original and edited versions.

Paste from one picture to another
Experiment with mixing and matching faces, pets, buildings, and more. You can cut any object out of one picture and paste it into a different one.

    AR Emoji

Use your own personal emojis to spice up your messages, make fun videos, and more. You can create a digital version of yourself, or try a different look. The possibilities are endless.

    Jazz up your profile
Use an AR emoji as your profile picture in Contacts and Samsung account. You can choose from over 10 poses or create your own expressions.

    Face stickers
Pretend to be your emoji with new stickers of your emoji’s face. Have fun decorating your photos and sharing them with your friends.

    Dance the night away
Make cool dance videos with your AR emojis. Choose templates from 10 different categories including #Fun, #Cute, and #Party.

    Design your own clothes
Ever wanted to be a fashion designer? You can now use your own drawings to create unique clothes for your AR emojis.

    Sharing

One UI helps you stay connected and share your experiences with others. Just tap the Share button in any app.

    More customization
Make sharing your own. You can customize the list of apps that appear when you share content to keep the clutter away and focus only on the apps you use regularly.

    Easier navigation
New layout and better navigation makes sharing a breeze. Swipe left or right to scroll through apps and contacts when you’re sharing.

    Photo sharing
When you share a picture that doesn’t look quite right, whether it’s out of focus or not framed well, we’ll let you know and give you suggestions for fixing it.

    Calendar

One UI 4 makes it even easier to keep your busy life organized.

Check your schedule on the Home screen
A new widget shows your schedule for the day along with a full calendar for the month.

    Quick add events
Need to add something to your calendar in a hurry? Just enter a title and you’re done.

    More search options
You’ve got more ways than ever to find your calendar events. Choose from recent search keywords or filter by color or sticker.

    Share with others
Sometimes you need to keep others in the loop. It’s now easier to share your calendars with other Galaxy users.

    Easier date and time selection
Setting event details is a breeze with separate date and time options.

    Recover deleted events
Events you delete will stay in the Trash for 30 days so you can get them back if you need them.

    Samsung Internet

One UI’s fast and secure web browser now makes it even easier to find the webpages you’re looking for and protect your privacy.

    Search suggestions
Get more search suggestions when you enter text in the address bar. Results will appear with an all new design.

    Search from the Home screen
The new search widget helps you find what you’re looking for, right from the Home screen.

    Start in Secret mode
To protect your privacy, Samsung Internet will automatically start in Secret mode if you were using Secret mode during your last browsing session.

    Device Care

See your phone’s performance, security, and battery life at a glance, solve problems quickly, and get deep diagnostics for more complex issues.

Battery and security at a glance
Battery and security issues will appear right on the main screen so you can solve problems more quickly.

    Understand your phone’s overall status
Your phone’s overall status is shown as an emoji, so you can understand instantly.

    Diagnostic checks
Now you can get right to Samsung Members diagnostics from Device Care. If something seems wrong with your phone, try the diagnostic tests to find out what the problem is and get suggestions for solving it.

    Samsung Health

Manage all your health data in one place and start building habits for a better tomorrow. Track your exercise, sleep, food intake, and more. One UI 4 makes it easier than ever.

    All new design

    My page
Get a summary of your health stats, achievements, personal bests, and progress on the My page tab.

    Challenge your friends
Starting a Together challenge is easier than ever. Invite friends by sending a link.

    More inclusive
Gender options are more inclusive. You can now choose Other or Prefer not to say.

    More food options
Recording your food intake is easier with more snacks added to the food tracker.

    Bixby Routines

Make your phone do more for you. Turn on Wi-Fi automatically when you come home, or set your phone to silent when you’re at work. One UI 4 gives you even more possibilities.

    More conditions
More conditions are available for your routines. Start a routine during a call or when a certain notification arrives.

    More actions
You can now turn on Enhanced processing with a routine. There are also more options such as connecting and disconnecting Bluetooth devices.

    More control
Reorder actions by touching and holding actions on the edit page. Advanced options have also been added to let you wait before an action starts, confirm actions, and more.

    More combinations
We’ve removed restrictions for some combinations of conditions and actions so you can do even more with your routines.

    More customization
Create custom icons for your routines using the Camera or an image from Gallery.

    Accessibility

One UI is designed for everyone. In One UI 4, you’ll get even more options to help you use your phone in the way that’s most comfortable for you.

Always there when you need it
Access accessibility features more quickly with a floating button that’s always available.

    Mouse gestures
Perform actions more quickly by moving your mouse pointer to one of the 4 corners of the screen.

    Adjust your screen at once
Adjust contrast and size at the same time with custom Display mode (High contrast or Large display).

    Eye comfort
More visibility options are available to meet your needs. You can reduce transparency or blur.

    Extra dim screen
If your screen is too bright, even at the lowest brightness setting, turn on Extra dim for more comfortable reading in the dark.

    Customizable flash notifications
Make the screen flash when you receive a notification. You customize colors for each app so you can easily determine where a notification is coming from.

    Easier magnification
Magnifier window has been merged with the new Magnification menu, giving you more options and more control for magnifying content on the screen.

    More features and improvements

    Better Always On Display
Never miss a notification. You can now set Always On Display to turn on whenever you get a notification. New animated stickers are also available to keep your Always On Display looking fresh.

    Enhanced Dark mode
To keep you comfortable in the dark, Dark mode now automatically dims wallpapers and icons. Illustrations in Samsung apps now have Dark mode versions with darker colors for a more consistent experience that’s easier on your eyes.

    Charging info at a glance
When you start charging, different visual effects let you know your charging speed more intuitively.

    Easier brightness control
A bigger brightness bar in the quick panel makes it easier to change screen brightness with a swipe.

    Tips preview videos
Learn more about what your Galaxy can do with preview videos on the main screen of the Tips app.

    Safety and emergency menu
The new Safety and emergency menu in Settings lets you manage your emergency contacts and safety information all in one place.

    Settings search enhancements
Improved search features help you find the settings you need, when you need them. You’ll get suggestions for related features depending on what you search for.

Keep your eyes on the road
The new Driving monitor in Digital Wellbeing keeps track of when you use your phone while driving. You’ll get reports on how much you used your phone and which apps you used.

    Skip an alarm just once
Feel like sleeping in? You can now turn off an alarm just for one occurrence. It will turn back on automatically after it’s skipped.

Day or night at a glance
Have a friend on the other side of the world? It’s easier to see if it’s a good time to contact them. The dual clock widget now shows different background colors for each city depending on whether it’s day or night.

    Switch from texts to calls
Texting not cutting it? Tap the person’s name at the top of the conversation to see their details or start a voice or video call.

    More search results in Messages
Now you can search your messages for photos, videos, web links, and more. The results are all filtered so you can jump right to what you’re looking for.

    Easier search in My Files
Find the file you’re looking for, even if there’s a typo or the name doesn’t match exactly. The Recent files area has also been expanded to help you quickly locate files you’ve used or received recently.

    More complete desktop experience
More apps are resizable in Samsung DeX, so you can multitask and get more done throughout the day. You can also change the touchpad scrolling direction in DeX settings to match your personal preference.

    Enhanced Edge panels
Keep your current app in view while using edge panels. Blurring has been removed to help you see more at once.

    Resizable picture-in-picture
If a floating video is getting in the way, pinch your fingers together to make it smaller. Want to see more? Spread your fingers apart to make it bigger.

Quick access to pop-up window options
For easier multitasking, you can pin the window options menu to the top of the window to make it easier to access.

Some apps will need to be updated separately after the One UI 4 upgrade.
    1
Thank you so much for your help. I have another question, please, if you install the update, does it delete the data ignore the other CSC tar file.
Put HOME_CSC in CSC slot that will avoid data wipe, ignore the other CSC file one.

Just a little heads up to everyone. When Android 12 drops for U1, I'll be removing the Beta stuff since we wont need it any longer. I try to keep things a little clean and tidy 😁

See Post #2 and #3 for the Links to the Firmware
ALL of the firmware posted here can be flashed on any N986U/N986U1 Device. The firmware is NOT carrier dependent and is only listed next to some of them in order to have an idea if you might get OTA when you flash it

    Understanding Firmware naming:

    N986USQU1ATGM
    N=Note
986U or F etc, the model of device
SQ, FX etc = CPU and model specific
U,S,E = Update, Security, Engineering, respectively
1,2,3,4,5 etc = bootloader revision (This is important! You cannot go to a previous revision)
    A,B,C,D = Android version
    T, U = Year (T=2020, U=2021 etc)
    A,B,C etc = month (January A - December L)
1 - 9 and then A - Z =build compilation. This basically means how many builds there are in a month. They start at 1 and go to Z
    So N986USQU1ATGM would be
    N968-U-SQ-U-1-A-T-G-M
    N968U (Note 20 Ultra Carrier version), SQ (Snapdragon), U (Update), 1 (Bootloader version), A (Build 10), T (2020), G (July), M (22nd build)

    How to enter Download Mode:
    Turn off the device.
Connect USB cable to your PC (Leave it disconnected from the phone)
Press and hold down the Volume Up and Volume Down buttons. While they are still pressed, plug in the USB cable into your phone.
The phone will go into download mode press volume up. In Odin you will see that phone is added.

    Dirty Flash:
I would only do this if you are having to manually update to the newer firmware and would not do it if you are coming/going to U/U1 or from beta firmware or if you are on an old firmware. I'd also highly recommend doing a back up prior to the doing this
    Load these into Odin
    BL
    AP
    CP
    HOME_CSC
Do NOT flash CSC or USERDATA, either of these WILL wipe your device
This is a "dirty flash" and these can sometimes cause issues. Keep in mind if things start going sideways and stuff starts not working right, your first step to a solution will be to wipe the device.

    Tips on flashing U1 Firmware:
You will have to wipe, can NOT dirty Flash going between U and U1 firmware
Use the patched ODIN linked in post #2 or #3, Odin3_v3.13.3b (They are exactly the same)
Have an active US Carrier SIM installed to get carrier features

If you get your CSC Stuck on XAA/XAA/(Insert your carrier here), and can not get Carrier options back.
Go to the tutorial that @borijess put together HERE

Just a little heads up to everyone. When Android 12 drops for U1, I'll be removing the Beta stuff since we wont need it any longer. I try to keep things a little clean and tidy 😁
