I can't find the note20 ultra snapdragon root guide anymore. I could've sworn I saw it somewhere. Have you seen it?

So as far as im aware only bootloader v1 was unlockable, and then it was only unlockable by elliwigy from sampwnd (also a mod on xda) for a fee (claimed it cost him money to get the files for unlocking and he wasn't profiting, suspicious to me). I paid him to unlock my bootloader in jan 2021 and he was quick about it, but since then he has fallen off the face of the earth. Other xda mods say they haven't heard anything from him in ages, his website is still up and accepting payments but no one will reach out to you if you pay there and you will not get your unlock. You might be SOL on that root, homie.

Even when you could get it it was hella sketchy. You sent him uuid and something else from your phone then installed a vpn client and a usb over network driver and he odin flashed your phone over network usb through the vpn

I may never update the device but since yesterday I am having MIC issue with whatspp and other APPS skype etc voice calls, MIC is working fine on normal calls so its not hardware related issue

I have read post#1 and post#2 carefully.

So I need someone to point me which firmware is best to flash so I can get future auto updates ?
Not interested to keep AT&T APPS but more interested in device stability ?
I will take full backup before flashing to be on safe side and do not want to wipe the device unless its the last option so can I keep personal data after flashing ?

Your firmware is about 2 years old now............ REALLY OLD
The last AT&T factory firmware I have available on this thread is N986USQS2EULI That is from Jan this year, and should help a lot regarding features/security updates. Being as old as yours is I would NOT recommend a dirty flash. Back up and allow it to wipe.
If you want to avoid all of the ATT bloat you could flash the latest U1 I have here - N986U1UE2FVC5 I don't remember if this is an ATT firmware or not

Updated note 20 with N986U1UE2FVC5 and after that it auto update to latest firmware, its service provider software versions says XAA/XAA/ATT/ATT so the firmware was AT&T.

But it didn't fix the issue with microphone, its still not working with whatsapp, skype etc but only works with normal call, I have tried almost every suggestion by searching about problem on google, nothing works, update doesn't work so any suggestion, can it be hardware issue, but how can it be if microphone working with normal calls.

I'm running U1 Firmware & the option is available.
However, I am on T-Mobile, not AT&T. Just taking an educated guess, but, I think you'll be good to go.
At least you can change from U to U1 w/o a factory reset, so, no harm in giving it a shot.

I just bought two Note 20 Ultra 5G phones on ebay from two different sources. They were both in great condition so I was lucky about that.

The first one I got was a N986U model and the other was a N986U1 model. I did all the software updates I could for both. The N986U model got three updates and ended up going from Android 12 to Android 13.

My issue: The N986U1 model only got one update which I guess was a security update because it stayed at Android 12.

Questions:
1) Is firnware OTAs being late a common problem with the N986U1 and other Samsung factory unlocked models?
2) Is an Android 13 firmware OTA just late for N986U1 or is it never coming?
3) Should I send the N986U1 model back and try to get a N986U model?
