I am on DUC8 on U1. I tried to go back to DUC1 and DUC5 for U. Both are bootloader 2. They were also dirty flashes since I am too lazy to reinstall all my crap. Both took me to android recovery, so I am thinking it will only work if I do a clean install. Had no problem with dirty flashes until now.
I have been dirty flashing back and forth for a little while. Seems it only became a problem to dirty flash with bootloader 2. Oh well, thats what I get for being lazy. Thank you guys for the responses @kangi26, @ShoonMcgregorI think the dirty flashing to/from U and U1 can not go so well sometimes
Can someone explain to this noob the difference between dirty flashing and a clean install?
N986USQU2DUCA , This firmware is out for comcast and Xfinity April Patch , not gonna odin will wait for AT&T just thought i give heads up.
Flashed my t-mobile phone to DUBB firmware. This, along with my att sim didn't change the carrier software. It is still TMB/TMB/TMB
I tried the Google dialer thing but that no longer works. It didn't pop up the csc change menu.
Unfortunately the sim card is not changing anything and i think it's messing with my incoming text. I've have had phones that will change all the software upon inserting new sims this is not the case. A friend of mine was able to change her to verizon using the Google dialer trick but this no longer worksNot sure if someone already answered this and sorry to all my amazing friends here that i am not able to be online as often. Hope you all are doing well.
So your ATT/ATT/ATT lets represent it as 1/2/3 - Now /3 is something you can not change - so if you bought from ATT it will be 1/2/ATT if from T-mob it will be 1/2/TMB - So that always remains same.
for 1/2 it depends on the sim card you insert, it seems you are using ATT sim. I have unlocked version so my /3=/XAA , as stated above it remains same regardless of sim i insert, and i am using TMB so my 1/2 = TMB/TMB if i was using ATT it would look like ATT/ATT/XAA. Hope this answers your question.
I am clueless. The only thing I can think of is flashing back to the out of the box firmware and trying the Google dialer trick. I don't think I can test my theory because I'm on bootloader 2 now. All I know is the Google dialer way worked right out of the box but it no longer works (on the Google dialer enter: *#*#27262826#*#*)Same. You ever get this figured out?
Something wrong with tmobile unlocked devices. It's like it's not really unlocked.
