Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Ultra
I just gave it a try.

I have today's latest: DUH3 on a U1 and TMB/TMB/XAA with Security Patch Level Sept 1, 2021.

It's working, comes in as MMS. In the hamburger upper right, Group Conversation is turned on, and there's an option titled "Customize Chat Room", so it knows it's a group chat.
The Messages App I'm using is Samsung OEM "Messages" (the "contact us" link goes to Samsung) the version is 12.2.10.19

Is it possible you just have a bad setting? Say Group Messaging turned off, or auto download off?
Thanks! I'm on a t-mobile U device so I have TMB/TMB/TMB with the latest August 1 DUH2 security update. I have my group conversation turned on and all my settings correct. I have reset all my apps, cleared cache from the samsung message app, wiped phone cache and rebooted tons of times.

Everything was working fine until the Damn DUH2 update that tmo pushed out a short time ago. Now all my group messages that people reply to go to their individual threads instead. The wierd thing is it shows as MMS in the person's thread so I can at least tell that it was supposed to go in the group message thread.

I have an unfounded suspicion as well that this could be an e-sim related issue which is what I'll look into next. I got rid off my physical t-mobile sim a while back so that physical sim slot currently sits empty.

What an interesting conundrum!

I have a Verizon Unlocked Note 20 Ultra, and I'm trying to install the stock rom, but every attempt in Odin, it's successful, but when the phone restarts the verizon logo still comes up along with the bloatware. Could someone please help me.

You can install either the Carrier version (U) or the Unlocked version (U1), but your SIM is going to dictate the features that are installed, that includes the bloat. The U1 version will see a little less bloat and you wont have the Verizon splash screen, but honestly there is very little difference between the 2. If you're looking for a ASOP experience (You referred to "Stock ROM"), you're not going to get one if your device is a Snapdragon

Thank you so much, do you have a link to the U1 version that i need?

Well, FWIW, I also switched out to T-Mo eSIM back in May, when I thought I'd be getting the Dual SIM feature. But I don't have the SIM Manager setting, just a single eSIM and an empty tray.

Sounds like a nagging PITA. What you really need is somebody with EXACTLY the same setup as yours, not mine that's a little different. Good luck.

Your problem is the ATT/ATT/CCT. To get OTA, you'll need to be ATT/ATT/ATT.
You'll need to flash the latest ATT firmware in post 2, use all of the files EXCEPT the HOME_CSC. Also, make sure your SIM is installed. This will wipe, and you may need to do the flash a couple times

I thought u couldn't change the last csc CCT couldn't be changed and it only represents the original provider of the phone. I guess I'm confused 😕
also could you point me to the exact firmware I need on post 2 please

Is your phone from AT&T Carrier, basically I'm asking if it comes from AT&T?

See Post #2 and #3 for the Links to the Firmware
ALL of the firmware posted here can be flashed on any N986U/N986U1 Device. The firmware is NOT carrier dependent and is only listed next to some of them in order to have an idea if you might get OTA when you flash it

    Understanding Firmware naming:

    N986USQU1ATGM
    N=Note
986U or F etc, the model of device
SQ, FX etc = CPU and model specific
U,S,E = Update, Security, Engineering, respectively
1,2,3,4,5 etc = bootloader revision (This is important! You cannot go to a previous revision)
    A,B,C,D = Android version
    T, U = Year (T=2020, U=2021 etc)
    A,B,C etc = month (January A - December L)
1 - 9 and then A - Z =build compilation. This basically means how many builds there are in a month. They start at 1 and go to Z
    So N986USQU1ATGM would be
    N968-U-SQ-U-1-A-T-G-M
    N968U (Note 20 Ultra Carrier version), SQ (Snapdragon), U (Update), 1 (Bootloader version), A (Build 10), T (2020), G (July), M (22nd build)

    How to enter Download Mode:
    Turn off the device.
Connect USB cable to your PC (Leave it disconnected from the phone)
Press and hold down the Volume Up and Volume Down buttons. While they are still pressed, plug in the USB cable into your phone.
The phone will go into download mode press volume up. In Odin you will see that phone is added.

    Dirty Flash:
I would only do this if you are having to manually update to the newer firmware and would not do it if you are coming/going to U/U1 or from beta firmware or if you are on an old firmware. I'd also highly recommend doing a back up prior to the doing this
    Load these into Odin
    BL
    AP
    CP
    HOME_CSC
Do NOT flash CSC or USERDATA, either of these WILL wipe your device
This is a "dirty flash" and these can sometimes cause issues. Keep in mind if things start going sideways and stuff starts not working right, your first step to a solution will be to wipe the device.

    Tips on flashing U1 Firmware:
You will have to wipe, can NOT dirty Flash going between U and U1 firmware
Use the patched ODIN linked in post #2 or #3, Odin3_v3.13.3b (They are exactly the same)
Have an active US Carrier SIM installed to get carrier features

If you get your CSC Stuck on XAA/XAA/(Insert your carrier here), and can not get Carrier options back.

Just a little heads up to everyone. When Android 12 drops for U1, I'll be removing the Beta stuff since we wont need it any longer. I try to keep things a little clean and tidy 😁
