If anyone sees the banner to join the beta program, plese notify it here, just in case it fills up again
Hi, I want to convert my unlocked Note 20Ultra N986U1 to a N986U T-mobile version. Is this as simple as using Frija and searching for SM-N986U CSC TMB and flashing what it finds in Odin? File name it finds is SM-N986U_1_20211029105635_1woht6u539_fac.zip.enc4.
I did this before on my Note 10+ and it worked. Just want to make sure I am using the right search method and it is safe to do this on the Note 20 Ultra. Thanks in advance.
If you have a TMB SIM installed, download the odin and the top file in post 2, flash the BL/AP/CP/CSC (not the HOME _CSC). Backup, because it will wipe.
Edit.... You have to have an active TMB SIM installed in order for it to install the features that come with a TMB device
Try opening Samsung members app. I will show something like welcome to beta tap on gear icon on top right and then tap OneUI beta program status. See if you can sign up from there. If anyone sees the banner to join the beta program, plese notify it here, just in case it fills up again

We're doomed.
Noob question. Does anyone have a more detailed list of the firmware meaning from the first post. Thanks in advance.
Specifically I wanted to know what other options are available for the CPU and their translation. If OP didn't give an example I wouldn't know SQ meant Snapdragon. Also could someone provide an explanation of what each means (Update, Security, Engineering)? I am looking to buy a used model off Ebay and see some of the builds say different things but I don't have a decoder handy.
SQ, FX etc = CPU and model specific
U,S,E = Update, Security, Engineering, respectively
And can someone give a brief description of what the next two lines mean. Most of what I see on Ebay is 2D or 1A.
1,2,3,4,5 etc = bootloader revision (This is important! You cannot go to a previous revision)
A,B,C,D = Android version
I would say may be even Christmas.I don't think we're doomed really, I'd say more like Inconvenienced.
From what I've seen I'd say it's reasonable to expect the production version in January. That's only a month out
If you can give an example of what the device build number is, I could help decipher it
Security is just that, it's typically the Monthly Security patch, Updates tend to be bigger and have system "updates" over and above the Security items.N986U1UES2DUH3
I've seen another model that listed S for Security. Commonly I see U for Update. What do the two mean?
In this firmware version, does ES stand for a certain processor?Security is just that, it's typically the Monthly Security patch, Updates tend to be bigger and have system "updates" over and above the Security items
