Very odd and you say it was after getting OTAI've also now lost cell service for calling. Something is definitely screwy after the update. Mobile data works, but I can't make/receive calls. "Emergency Calls Only" on the lock screen, and a nice circle with a line through it (seriously, what's that called?) next to 5G.
Haven't tried factory reset yet. Was hoping to avoid it since I just went through one less than a month ago.Very odd and you say it was after getting OTAwow, not for nothing did you try all the options wipe cache , or factory reset etc etc
Edit: also try replacing your simcard.
Circle with line through it is what I have but I don't have any sims registered. Now I have to put a sim in mine to see if I have service (VZW)!I've also now lost cell service for calling. Most likely it's a esim issue then cause lots are having issues with that .Haven't tried factory reset yet. Was hoping to avoid it since I just went through one less than a month ago.
Tried cache wipe, network settings reset, and even Safe Mode. I've been using eSIM since moving up from S21 Ultra. I can use mobile data (typing this now) and can use RCS messaging. Calls and SMS won't go through.
Can't even remove my Samsung account. It asks for the password, accepts it, them takes me to the same page for agreeing to optional settings.
I updated U1 early today and using eSim with TMobile and have no issues. I will eliminate eSim issue by moving to physical sim for testing and move to eSim again. Most likely it's a esim issue then cause lots are having issues with that .
No what I'm saying is some are having esim issue not everyone but some people are.I updated U1 early today and using eSim with TMobile and have no issues. I will eliminate eSim issue by moving to physical sim for testing and move to eSim again.
It was in fact eSIM. It seems that LTE got screwed up, but 5G was still working the whole time. That's why I had data/RCS, but no calls or SMS.No what I'm saying is some are having esim issue not everyone but some people are.

As soon as I removed the eSIM profile, the prompt to sign in to my Samsung account also resolved itself. Went ahead and put a regular SIM in for now.
It came out yesterday.
If no one post it when i come out of work later in the afternoon 4pm I'll post a link as of now I'm at my job.Ah, I assumed as I didn't see it in the first post of this thread that it wasn't out. Can someone post it? I'm on the U version of AVF at the moment.
That's very helpful of you venom. Cheers. If no one post it when i come out of work later in the afternoon 4pm I'll post a link as of now I'm at my job.
In what context - waiting for a SW update?
I'm seeing AVG8 for Xfinity and Comcast on Sam snagged a copy with Frija and just flashed it no problems
I would never support locking the thread, it's how everyone learns and has some fun tooI sense trolling lol. All needed info has been posted on this thread except new releases. People get too emotional over technicalities. Recommended thread lock except new releases.
There's VERY little chance you'll brick (The only way that I know you can is pulling the USB cable when flashing), that aside, it'll just error before the flash could happen. How do i know which firmware to download? Im a complete beginner... i have an att locked (making payments) 22 ultra sm-s908U. I was told to get the u1 firmware because its unlocked and i can use rcs thru jibe not att, but i also was told i need to get the firmware that matches the model number which is U. I may be overthinking, but it's confusing. And all the U options are labeled by carrier, there doesn't seem to be an unlocked firmware for my U phone. And if i were to get an U1 firmware, there are a few options with no explanation on the differences and which to get. Don't get me started on the advice to look for XAA firmware, because i don't see that anywhere lol. Apologies if this seems ridiculous, i just don't want to brick my phone
