I've also now lost cell service for calling. Something is definitely screwy after the update. Mobile data works, but I can't make/receive calls. "Emergency Calls Only" on the lock screen, and a nice circle with a line through it (seriously, what's that called?) next to 5G.

wow, not for nothing did you try all the options wipe cache , or factory reset etc etcEdit: also try replacing your simcard.

Tried cache wipe, network settings reset, and even Safe Mode. I've been using eSIM since moving up from S21 Ultra. I can use mobile data (typing this now) and can use RCS messaging. Calls and SMS won't go through.
Can't even remove my Samsung account. It asks for the password, accepts it, them takes me to the same page for agreeing to optional settings.
Circle with line through it is what I have but I don't have any sims registered. Now I have to put a sim in mine to see if I have service (VZW)!
In iOS16, Apple changed theirs so it displays SOS when the device isn't registered on any network!

Most likely it's a esim issue then cause lots are having issues with that .
I updated U1 early today and using eSim with TMobile and have no issues. I will eliminate eSim issue by moving to physical sim for testing and move to eSim again.

No what I'm saying is some are having esim issue not everyone but some people are.
It was in fact eSIM. It seems that LTE got screwed up, but 5G was still working the whole time. That's why I had data/RCS, but no calls or SMS.
As soon as I removed the eSIM profile, the prompt to sign in to my Samsung account also resolved itself. Went ahead and put a regular SIM in for now.

I got the newest update on my U1 device (with TMB) and it have the eSIM issue. It look like this update broke both 5G SA and NSA on the voice side but not the data side which cause the phone to look for signal on my phone - because it cannot drop it down to LTE. Switching to LTE/3G/2G resolves the issue.
Ah, I assumed as I didn't see it in the first post of this thread that it wasn't out. Can someone post it? I'm on the U version of AVF at the moment.

I don't think it matters which carrier version you flash as long as its the same device hardware region. For instance you can flash any US carrier U if you want to stay U or U1 if you want to stay U1. I've done it before no problems. As long as your flash includes the Home CSC you won't reset or loose or change your carrier data settings it pulls your particular carrier data from your sim and eSIM just don't flash the included data file and if your on a AT&T U and you flash the Xfinity file you will still keep your AT&T data and AT&T bootup screen. So no need to wait till the A&T one drops. If I'm wrong or missing anything that applies directly to AT&T someone please chime in and correct me1I have a Verizon phone that I just converted from Stock carrier U to U1 to then flash the new UI 5 beta. I've done it before on either my Note 20 Ultra ot Note 10+. I always in that instance flash CSC. Going from U to U1 you want to wipe. To avoid issue. But even with the wipe, the way U1 works is once it boots and sees your Sim card, it loads your carrier stuff. So I still have my Verizon Boot animation, wifi calling and HD video and phone calls between Verizon customers. I just don't have all the bloatware that comes with the stock U firmware. Now when updates come out or I'm flashing between firmwares on the same U1 platform, I would use CSC home to avoid wipe because it really isn't needed in that instance. I'll only go CSC when I flash back to Stock U when it becomes fully available on U, warranty issue or if I trade my phone in.1I'm officially on the beta update. All of the firmware posted here can be flashed on any U or U1 Device. Each of the firmware's are NOT carrier dependent and only has carrier labels listed in order to have an idea if you might get OTA when you flash it.
The firmware packages house each of the carrier's information, features, bloat, splash screens etc. (That's why they roll in at over 7Gb). When you flash a firmware the installation package reads your SIM, determines what carrier you're using and then installs the "package" that's designed for your carrier
S908USQU1AVA7 (Totally fake Firmware. I just made it up for example purposes)
S=Galaxy S
908U or F etc, the model of device
SQ, FX etc = CPU and model specific
U,S,E = Update, Security, Engineering, respectively
1,2,3,4,5 etc = bootloader revision (This is important! You cannot go to a previous revision)
A, B, C etc = Android version
U, V = Year (U=2021, V=2022 etc)
A,B,C etc = month (January A - December L)
1 - 9 and then A - Z =build compilation. This basically means how many builds there are in a month. They start at 1 and go to Z
So S908USQU1DVAM would be
S908-U-SQ-U-1-A-V-A-7
S908U (S22 Ultra Carrier version), SQ (Snapdragon), U (Update), 1 (Bootloader version), A (Build 12), V (2022), A (January), 7 (7th build)
BL- Boot Loader
AP - Application Processor (also termed PDA), this is the system partitions, recovery etc,
CP - This is the Modem
CSC - Consumer Software Customization. This is all of the stuff that contains the different carrier features, wi-fi calling, APN stuff like that. You'll notice that this file is getting as big(If not bigger) than the AP file with the system information.
HOME_CSC - This is still the "Same" as the CSC, except it retains the CSC information that is flashed on the device. It wont wipe your device like the normal CSC will. This is part of the package in the OTA that doesn't wipe your phone
USERDATA - Carrier files, this "Brands" the device to your carrier
How to enter Download Mode:
Turn off the device.Connect USB cable to your PC (Leave it disconnected from the phone)Press and hold down the Volume Up and Volume Down buttons. While they are still pressed, plug in the USB cable into your phone.The phone will go into download mode press volume up. In Odin you will see that phone is added.

Dirty Flash:
I would only do this if you are having to manually update to the newer firmware and would not do it if you are coming/going to U/U1 or from beta firmware or if you are on an old firmware. I'd also highly recommend doing a back up prior to the doing thisLoad these into OdinBLAPCPHOME_CSC
Do NOT flash CSC or USERDATA (If it's in the download package), either of these WILL wipe your device.This is a "dirty flash" and these can sometimes cause issues. There's VERY little chance you'll brick (The only way that I know you can is pulling the USB cable when flashing), that aside, it'll just error before the flash could happen.
That being said, If you have a S908U or S908U1 device you can flash ANY of the firmware on this post. The firmware is not Carrier agnostic, the only reason there are carrier tags next to the posted firmware is to let people if they flash a specific one whether or not that is the current stock one and will get OTA in future releases.
Most of that info is in the OP (I think.......), and if you're not too familiar with the process, I highly advise taking the time to read thru the pages, almost everything you'll need to know has been posted.
If you can't find something ask, most everyone is super helpful
