Not the fist time. Aryan Kedare, as well, had unofficial builds before Lineage approved him as an official maintainer. And it was also said 'no longer maintained' on the Lineage website for a while.

You know more than me then. I saw support got dropped months and never checked after that - and zeelog is the first maintainer I know by name.
Bottomline is this ROM works super smooth, all problems can be solved and yes, he should get official for that.

If any of you guys is having performance issues with this ROM, I HIGHLY recommend formatting /data and /cache to F2FS.

Doing so will drastically improve performance, and reduce battery usage too.

You can back up your stuff using Orange fox, then format the partitions and restore the backup. Restoring the backup will not change the file system.

All recoveries (TWRP, OrangeFox) give you the option to choose where the backup will be created. KaleidonKep99 only said make a backup and you should have paid more attention where the backup was created and chosen an external SD card. If formatting you PC, you wouldn't create a backup on the drive you are formatting.

That's easy to say when the damage is done. If I knew the partition was the same I obviously had taken other precautions. But when you make a backup, or when you just use the wipe function, you may be led to believe (like I was) that they are different ones.

So to everyone who tries this... take care: data and internal storage are the same partition and as such wiping and formatting work differently. Make sure to backup to an SD card and/or transfer everything to your pc (e.g. using adb) before formatting (unless you want to spend a day reinstalling and reconfiguring your phone and feel like a dumbass like myself).

(And stop to think before rushing to do anything you read on a forum, better safe than sorry)

Hello, can someone tell me, is there option to close app by long pressing BACK button?
Lats time i tested Zeelog build, i can't find this option.

Now at my 9 android LOS i can do this.
Settings->Options for developer->Scroll down and there it is, Close the app by hold BACK button.

Some users may face Fingerprint issuse or bootlop after flashing to LoS 18.1 ( Android 11)
*It has happned because If you jump from Android 7,8,9 to Android 11 directly
*Back up all your data.
*Flash loS 17.1 ( or any Android 10 aosp based ROMs) Boot in to system once , Wipe Clean Flash LoS 18.1.

Instructions

1. Clean flash recommended.
2. Back Up Everything.
3. Use Organefox Recovery. Link
4. Wipe Dalvik/ART cache, Cache, System,Data, Vendor.
5. Flash Latest Firmware. Link ( Only flash if your on old firmware)
6. Flash ROM
7. Flash Gapps.
   (Flame Gapps Basic Recommended)

To update ROM , Two methods OTA or Dirty Flash

Dirty Flash for ROM updates
1) Download the latest ROM
2) Reboot to recovery - Wipe Dalvik/ART Cache/cache/sys/vendor
3) Flash ROM , flash gapps any addons( Make sure flash all the gapps add-ons you flashed before)
4)Reboot to Recovery ,then reboot to system.

I have been using this ROM for daily work for about a month, and with April 08 update the problem of call volume was also solved. But I did not understand how to use call recording in the last update you released. Do I have to enable the option? I did not see any icon while calling. can you guide me?

Lineage OS dialer authors decided to block that function depending on your country. Even if manufacturers ROMs allow it. And even though it's legal to record my own calls in my country as long as I don't do stupid stuff like go publish it on the internet, and if I tell the other person I'm doing it I can even use them as I please. But go figure, they took that option out to several people although it's free (as in freedom) software. You're probably affected by that (as am I). It's not a problem of this ROM itself, but a problem in every lineage OS based ROM.

If you have magisk, install axet's call recorder module (free/open source), it was broken on last OTA but now it seems to be working again. Or you can try skvalex (paid but with a trial option).

Because I used Flame Gapps Basic when flash lineage os, google phone replaced Lineage OS dialer
and I installed the latest updates via OTA

Flame Gapps Basic won't replace your dailer. Flame full will replace it.

But to make it perfect.i.e work flawlessly

Wipe cache/sys/vendor
Flash Latest ROM, flash Gapps
Works perfect. No issues. No data lost .

Dear friend
by flashing basic gapps the google phone app replaces AOSP dialer
since it was recommended in the installation instructions so I installed it.
In the past I tried after formatting the partition and then flashing lineageos as a clean flash with orangefox and reboot to system
and then installing gapps via dirty flash
and it gave an error, so I had to install ROM and Gapps together via clean flash again.
Since everything is working fine at the moment and only call recording is not available, I am not taking any action at the moment.
I decided to do the next update via format partition and clean flash and flash core gapps.
