As the amount of daisy users is small, it's really important.

If someone wants to keep things in one thread, it may be the one if you provide more content/links to me.

___

FAQ:

Can we install the OTA file without unlocking bootloader?
Nope. Maaaaaybe trough EDL if you are adventurous and know more than me.

How to install the OTA with unlocked bootloader then?
Trough unpacking payload.bin inside the zip and flashing the contained images. Instruction of unpacking: https://forum.xda-developers.com/mi-a2/how-to/ota-v9-6-5-0-odimife-t3823445/post78090832

Flashing trough what?
Your own script or manual commands.

What commands?
Code:
fastboot flash bluetooth_a bluetooth.img
fastboot flash bluetooth_b bluetooth.img
fastboot flash devcfg_a devcfg.img
fastboot flash devcfg_b devcfg.img
fastboot flash dsp_a dsp.img
fastboot flash dsp_b dsp.img
fastboot flash modem_a modem.img
fastboot flash modem_b modem.img
fastboot flash xbl_a xbl.img
fastboot flash xbl_b xbl.img
fastboot flash pmic_a pmic.img
fastboot flash pmic_b pmic.img
fastboot flash rpm_a rpm.img
fastboot flash rpm_b rpm.img
fastboot flash tz_a tz.img
fastboot flash tz_b tz.img
fastboot flash hyp_a hyp.img
fastboot flash hyp_b hyp.img
fastboot flash keymaster_a keymaster.img
fastboot flash keymaster_b keymaster.img
fastboot flash cmnlib64_a cmnlib64.img
fastboot flash cmnlib64_b cmnlib64.img
fastboot flash cmnlib_a cmnlib.img
fastboot flash cmnlib_b cmnlib.img
fastboot flash abl_a abl.img
fastboot flash abl_b abl.img
fastboot flash boot_a boot.img
fastboot flash boot_b boot.img
fastboot flash system_a system.img
fastboot flash system_b system.img
fastboot flash vendor_a vendor.img
fastboot flash vendor_b vendor.img
fastboot flash mdtp_a mdtp.img
fastboot flash mdtp_b mdtp.img
fastboot flash mdtpsecapp_a mdtpsecapp.img
fastboot flash mdtpsecapp_b mdtpsecapp.img
fastboot set_active a
fastboot reboot

___

Optionally (if you patched the boot.img with Magisk):
Code:
fastboot reboot bootloader
fastboot set_active a
fastboot boot boot-patched.img
After that:
Open Magisk -> Install -> direct install + install of inactive slot (after OTA)

But i cant install it by updates - it says there is an error and starts to download update again...
I've rooted phone - maybe that is the reason?

Yes, rooting (i.e. installing Magisk) must be done properly to let the OTA updates working.
The guide to install Magisk written here in this forum works but no OTA.
Probably I will rewrite one to do it properly (that is the same guide as Mi A1).

In your case, flash the original boot.img taken from fastboot ROM zip, then you can apply OTA (except if you tampered directly with system partition).
After the OTA, install Magisk again but following the right method.

Does for me not work. I got the same Errormessage as with patched_boot.img. After that I flashed the whole Rom with Miflash and the Device runs after that smoother and the little stuttering on Homescreen are blown away.
