Rename to Blur_Version.174.44.9.falcon_umts.Retail.en.GB.zip before applying.

You can update your Android 4.3 version of these firmwares in one of 2 ways.

1. Copy the downloaded .zip file to /sdcard, this is the root folder when connected to a PC. Reboot and you will get an update prompt. N.B. Custom recoveries are NOT supported for this OTA method, stock recovery only.
2. Reboot into recovery, select "apply update from ADB", connect to PC, use 'adb sideload <filename>.zip' to apply the OTA.

If you are rooted or have a flashed a custom kernel the OTA may not work, flash a stock ROM and try again!

I just tried sideloading this with adb on my Koodo/Telus phone and I received the following error:

This package is for "falcon_umts" devices; this is a "xt1032".
E: Error in /tmp/update.zip
(Status 7)
Installation aborted.

Any ideas? Thanks!

you need restore stock ROM to update.

Actually I spoke too soon. Now I have and error while "verifying current system"

"/system/etc/install-recovery.sh" has unexpected contents.
Installation aborted.

Any ideas?

From the OP:

If you are rooted or have a custom kernel the OTA may not work, flash a stock ROM and try again!

An OTA is not full ROM, it has to check that system files have not been modified before it can patch them.

Just a question, I have the 4.3 stock ROM (not rooted and not custom recovery) from Chile. I can follow the instructions and install the US 4.4 without problem? or it wont allow me to do it because I have a different country firmware?
