Installed it from SD card and it automatically wiped and formated the phone. Not your fault, just havent had this happen in the past.

I just got an AT&T OTA Update (Security/Bug Fix) and ended up with QD4 after it was done...
Please Jimd1050 send the link for us to download.

Tried earlier this week and failed in the end. Used modified Odin provided in the mail.ru Cloud folder from the OP with a repackaged CSC (PIT removed by myself, but not the binary). I initially flashed without CSC at all only to find that CSC did not match that was required by the OTA package from QB2 to QC2, and that's why I tried it. Flashing wasn't the problem, but after that I wanted to do the OTA ASAP and booted into the stock recovery. For the first time, the recovery recognized a script and started to erase stuff (while doing the obligatory CSC installation, since the CSC package was just a disk image which got flashed into the cache partition, so the result didn't really surprise me). Since then the regular OTAs had worked as expected.I have version BQC4. ¿Can i update with SS-G891AUCS2BQC2-to-S2BQD4-UP.zip ?
This is good news for all of us... Can we have the process pls...I have finally myself updated (my wife's) S7 Active to Nougat via Odin. By far, this is the smoothest procedure. Yes data (internal storage) was fully wiped, no problems with Network unlock status.
Updated OP with this note and reference.
It's just as same as any Odin flashing procedure, since it involves directly writing into the partitions in download mode, and by that even modified devices could go back to stock as long as the NAND is healthy (Odin/warranty flags are another question that has nothing to do with returning to stock firmware). Basically you download the 4-part firmware and get an Odin new enough for current devices (such as https://cloud.mail.ru/public/BGy7/gKs4xzhRE/ODIN-modified.zip), drag each part onto the respective field and wait up to 10 minutes for the MD5 check, plug in the phone in Download mode (be sure to have the driver installed!) and press start. It's nothing more than that. This is good news for all of us... Can we have the process pls...
I'm in the same boat although it's only been 24 hours and I know there's typically a lot of background processing going on in a new system (I think? Or is that just mumbo jumbo?). Anyhow, I'm going to give it a few days and see how it fares. As an example of battery decrease, I left the phone on in airplane mode and display off overnight starting with about 40% battery when I went to sleep and it died after I snoozed my alarm about 6 hours later. I left my old phone on as a backup because of my suspicions and, as usual (runnung Lineage 14.1 moto x play) it lost a few percent over night. Charging fully now and will monitor the discharge from a full state today to see how things pan out.I updated to QD4 four days ago and noticed poor battery life. I was on OA7 since its release and the battery could last me up to 2 days. Does anyone know any tweaks to make battery life better, or I will have to go back to OA7.
Thanks
I'm running QD4 and have been for quite a while (got the actual AT&T OTA) - I run "MID" power saving mode and always have. Have never noticed any kind of performance hit using that mode! I charge up before heading to bed at night then throw it on the night stand at around 11:30 PM - when I get up at 8:00 AM, it shows around 97 - 98% battery after being in standby overnight, every night without fail. During the day, I use between 10 - 25%, depending on how much I do with it. I didn't do any tweaks either, for what it's worth! ???I updated to QD4 four days ago and noticed poor battery life. what is the "network unlock status" you are referring to? I wonder if it is related to the awful network problems I am having with my phone. I am currently on QC4, updated manually via flashing in recovery.I have finally myself updated (my wife's) S7 Active to Nougat via Odin. By far, this is the smoothest procedure. I noticed my keyboard stays open when I lock the screen and when I go to unlock phone it's in the way. Could have done without that upgrade.I just got it, too. No release notes to be found, yet. I guess we'll see how it goes.
Wondering the same thing been stuck on PL4....Does anyone know if I can just flash the newest firmware G891AUCU2BQB2 right over the current PL4 version that I am running currently using Odin???
