[OTA Updates] S7 Active SM-G891A (MM & N firmware update files)

greetings everyone, I'm newly registered here though my phone has been saved countless time by reading and following the instructions and suggestions listed here, so many thanks to all the thread contributors.

I'm currently running on G891AUCU2BQB2, will I be able to directly flash QH1 update without any downside?

You have to install every step as stated in that post.
QB2 cannot be updated directly to QH1.

yeah, got it fixed flashed latest odin then updated one by one to the last zip that was 30mb only that is bqk4.
nope all 7.0 and nov.1 security updated.

Had the same problem...Stuck @K3... where did you get the latest build for odin?...

U2BRA6 could become the next version, an it has security patch "january 18"

No news regarding the S7 series (afaik). Beta period seems to have ended for S8 a couple of days ago:

we will see what AT&T and Samsung have in mind for this device.
I hope they are already working for the last major update to release for the S7 Active.

Does this device have LED notification? Kimovil.com says it does not. A Google search only brings up the S7 LED light. Please let me know

It also says that the phone has a Sony rear camera. I wouldn't take their word too seriously

UPDATE: Full Nougat update via ODIN
After waiting for a root, I have finally given up and updated my S7 Active to Nougat via ODIN. I have a network unlocked S7 active, the update when smoothly and fixed the lags and didn't change network status. The internal storage was fully wiped.

Noob question here: If I buy an unlocked S7 Active, can I just use Odin to flash Oreo (when it's available to this device)? This is assuming AT&T doesnt allow you to get the updates if you're not on their network. Thanks

Yes!

Edit: Sorry I meant the official firmware after it is released by Samsung and then later uploaded by a private person, including ATT bloatware. Just like we can now install official Nougat with Odin because some nice person has made it available for download. I read the word "unlocked" as in "carrier unlocked".
