Going to stay in rd4 until a full firmware for Oreo is out. Battery life is questionable. Either my phone is just aging or this beta is just not optimized.

If the phone is used battery life goes down quicker than I would like. When i don't use it, it holds the charge better. Nougat held the charge way better fyi

I have the same battery issues in BRC1 or perceived issues. I tested yesterday and got 26 hours out of the battery in a pretty normal day with a few hours of SOT and bluetooth audio streaming and hotspotting. The battery drains really fast in use, but the phone seems to doze well when left alone. Having radios on seems to lead to faster-than-it-should-be drainage too.

I'm really tempted to install the latest Oreo. There are several indications that the update will come officially in May which would line up with how updates arrive on the servers at the end of a month only to be made official during the following month. i.e. BRC1 came out on servers a month ago and was only made official a week ago.

Wow 26 hours is good, im on Nougat BRB5 and in normal use i cant get more than 15 to 16 hours, before update from BQB2 when i got 24 to 26 hours. Now im scare to update to Oreo if you tell that it drain even more!!!

Should be longer. Remember our phones have a 4000mah battery. Bigger than almost all similar sized phones. I used to be able to heavily use the phone and still have 40 percent left over the next day.

Has anyone got gear fit 2 working on Oreo? No dice here. Claims my phone is incompatible.

Seems that using unofficial build will not allow gear devices to connect. Fantastic.

Which build/baseband are you using? So far, none of the Oreo build are official so it sounds like you've run into a bug in a beta build. It would help us to know which build that is so others may avoid it.

RC8.

I found a workaround.

I had to download "Samsung Accessory Service" latest version APK from APK Mirror as well as "GearFit2 Plugin" apk from same and install them manually because the device itself is not recognised as official samsung phone.
