In other news, it appears we will not be receiving Galaxy S9 active at all which absolutely sucks. Now my upgrade pathway is in question and I don't know which way to go. I'd go for blackview BV9500pro but I don't know that I could go back to generic camera quality.

Any other manufacturers talking about a proper rugged device? Not just waterproof, I mean proper ruggedized like the Active series.
I agree, Samsung not releasing a S9 Active is a big bummer. Hopefully they will bring it back with the S10, but I doubt it :(

I'm keen to hear results on this too. I'm still on RC8 which is not the most fantastic for battery life, but as far as speed goes this build has been astounding: no slowdown after all this time!

EDIT: On second thoughts, I'm not going down that road. 10,000mah battery looks amazing but my S7 Active already doubles or triples all of these performance scores...not interested in a downgrade.

S7 Active specs, in my opinion, is great enough to even look for a replacement at this point in time.

I have been using smartphones since the days of Windows Mobile 5&6 (R.I.P.), and Android Froyo onwards --thus i can completely appreciate the tech improvements that both hardware and software has undergone since those ancient times.

For me, if it fulfills my daily personal and professional needs without any issues; and the battery lasting up to 2.x days or so on light use or standby, then it's good enough. I'd rather wait for the battery and display tech to mature before switching to another device. I prefer the spare funds to go straight to my house and car mods instead. But that's just me.

Cheers!

Does anybody noticed fixed bugs or noticable changes in perfomance or battery saving regarding new H1 update?
The H1 Update made my SD card disappear. I had to save SD card contents to my PC and format the SD card in the phone for it to recognize it. PITA.
It seems the phone is slower on H1 and I would like to go back to Nougat or MM, but I don't believe I can.
Does anyone know if I Odin back to factory release MM from Oreo H1 without bricking?

One dump question.
Now I have CRE7 on my phone, I saw we have CRH1. I want to update to CRH1.
To update I have to do:
+Down load OTA update from https://cloud.mail.ru/public/BGy7/gKs4xzhRE/OTA/Oreo/
+ Copy to micro sd card
+ Turn off and turn on using home+volume up+ power button
+ apply update from external storage
+Reboot
==> Is this process correct ?

Do I need to back up data ? Is "this update" wipe out the data ?

Thank you for your advice.

LTE network mode

hello everybody,
a few weeks ago i updated to cre7 and was impressed of speed and batterie-lasting.
but i found an issue, i cant find anything about in web.
the problem is that i got no lte connection. when it shows "4g" everything works fine and fast, but with "4g LTE"
i have no connection.
just google a bit, the fast solution could be switch network mode to "2g/3g only".
But in german version there is no network mode option.

does anyone know about this?

thank you

Dear Friends,
I got last week my Galaxy S7 Active - it's a AT&T.
Baseband-Version. G891AUCS2 APL1
I'm in Austria and I can't find out, how to update to Nougat... and which Version of Nougat I have to use...

I'm sorry, could anyone help me? I found out, I have to use Odin. I think, I also have to install some USB-Drivers (?) and then I could try to update to Nougat?
Which Versions do I need? Has anyone links to latest Versions I need? And could tell my, how to?

Thanks!
Regards from Salzburg, Angela

Where did you found the correct official stock 7.0 firmware? I have the exact same device.
