If you're like me and the Nougat update refuses to show up as an available Software Update, I was able to finally download it and saved the .zip for others.

This is from the latest Marshmallow build (G935VVRU4API3) to today's Nougat release (G935VVRU4BQA2).

1. Copy the update.zip file to your SD card
2. Turn off your phone
3. Hold Home, Volume Up and Power
4. Select "Apply update from SD Card" with the volume buttons and press the power button to confirm.
5. Select the update.zip file you just copied to the card and press the power button.
6. Enjoy Nougat!

Possible to do this on a rooted stock device? Really hoping to keep all data and upgrade. Don't care about keeping root.

@zimgir124 You don't think FalshFire would be able to successfully flash the OTA with system mounted? (Genuinely wondering, Edge refuses to update to the BQ4A).
I have no idea if flashfire will work.
I personally don't think it will and I think it'll fail and you'll end up in a softbrick.
If you are rooted you need to use Odin and go back to stock.

VZ Samsung Repair/Update software worked for me to get back to stock. Message me if you want to know more details.

QA4 is the newest Verizon stock ROM. Just downloaded it as an OTA on Saturday March 25. I rooted and some stuff got messed up. I odin'd back to QA2 with no problems. Anybody have the QA4 files by any chance?
Edit:I'm good.

I downloaded this .zip and followed the instructions. However I get this error:

mount: failed to mount /dev/block/bootdevice/by-name/system at /system: Device or resource busy
Package expects build fingerprint of Verizon/hero2qltevzw/hero2qltevzw:6.0.1/MMB29M/G935VVRU4API3:user/release-keys or Verizon/hero2qltevzw/hero2qltevzw:7.0/NRD90M/G935VVRU4BQA2:user/release-keys; this device has Verizon/hero2qltevzw/hero2qltevzw:6.0.1/M
E:Error in /sideload/package.zip
(Status 7)

Installation aborted.

Can someone help me? I seriously don't know what I'm doing. I have a Verizon S7E but I use Straight Talk and can't get the OTA update, nor does the update show in Smart Switch. I just want the stupid update.
