Strongly agree with you! The LG G2 does such a heavy noise reduction that many details are lost, even at base iso. Yes, the images are pretty clean, but become ridiculously soft at higher iso settings and smaller subjects (like leaves in the distance) become just color blotches. I think Not iii is best!!!!!!!:good:

Personally I love my GN3. Best phone ever in my opinion.

Great devices I've owned
HTC M7 - loved it
Galaxy S4 - Took awhile, but warmed to it eventually
Moto X - Good software ideas but smallish screen(very good feel in hand)
Note 2 - Most Awesome device fist half of 2013
GS3 - Great workhorse has stood test of time
Razr Maxx - I just dont dig Motoblur

Devices I want to try...
HTC M8 (Gret quality devices)
Oppo Find 7 (Looks Interesting..may chance it)
OnePlus (CM entry looks amazing for $300...will definitely buy one when availabe)

Oh...I owned a few iPhones 4, 4S & 5 -- Good devices, just not for me.

BTW FWW I currently own 2 GN3's...TMobile Version on 4.4.2 stock rooted & Verizon on 4.3 stock rooted and I get 30-40% better batter life with the Verizon. I tried several roms on T-Mobile, but ended up back on stock debloated and I love it. I use Nova Prime on both...but TW under the hood and these devices both perform amazingly. I guess the Note 3 is about 7 months old and still top of the heap IMO, although several units are as good...at least spec wise.

I think I'm jumping ship to the Find 7. I don't use the multitasking functions/pen often. The rapid charge, touch-on-lens, 2k screen, and better camera really interest me. My Note 3 is horrible for macro shots (far worse than my Note 2, maybe it's just me though).

As does the m8 I'm up for a jump on the 4th. SO when the 11th comes around, i will be back to HTC. Sorry Sammy. Never really liked your phones and only got the Note 3 cause the Xperia Z1 sucked so bad. Now that HTC has a good phone out with sdcard slot, i'm all in. Will miss the big battery, but all battery test show that it gets way better battery life then you would expect from a 2,600mah.
I have been looking for a reason to ditch my note and get the M8. Today the plastic trim broke so I now have the excuse I needed. I will miss the spen. I used the pen for note taking once every 2 months, for writing on photos once a month but used it daily to navigate the ingress intel map in chrome. my reasons for switching are build quality so i hope htc doesn't let me down like they have in the past.

If you want to save some $$ and aren't enamored with the metal build of the HTC, I just read an article (I think I it was in the app Drippler) that an "M8 Ace" should be dropping. Exact same internals / specs as the current M8, but built with plastic rather than metal. Article claimed it would sell for around $400.

I thought that was an interesting concept, true or not, hence my recall of the article. IOW, I'm not really sure what the deal with this alleged device is, but might be worth asking Google about it if you're interested in picking up an M8.

I picked up the M8 today and after 2 hrs returned it and paid the $50 restocking fee. The quality was not what I expected. I will wait for the moto x 2 and/or the nexus 6.

Quick question. I recently used my jump to get the m8 and I'm regretting it! Am I out of luck and stuck with this phone or can I return it and pay the restocking fee and possibly get a note 3 again without any problems?

If I understood tmo when I got jump, you could do that. Might just call and ask them though.

Anyone jumping ship to the G3? It pretty much has everything I'd want in a phone including OIS and a 2K screen. I'm gonna go out on a limb and say that the Note 4 won't have OIS, since Samsung always likes to leave something out. I'm no longer stuck with Samsung since the LG has a removable battery too.

First smartphone where I really don't care about the battery and have not purchased any extra batteries. Don't see any other phone I'm interested in at all at this point. Note 4 is still a mystery what it might offer, no point thinking about it yet.

price

83 bucks for the restocking fee seems a bit high.

i think the g3 has the same button configuration as the g2. hard to get used to.

I was actually about to root until I noticed some dark spots on my screen. I went to t-mobile today and was told I have to wait 3-5 days to hear back if I can get my note exchanged.

Nope I am still on 4.3 with this phone and have no complaints about anything.
