I am loving my Note III it really is pretty amazing especially the 4k video once hacked to allow higher bitrate etc.

I DO NOT like the camera. it sucks. hard core sucks. dynamic range is utter CRAP I mean its like it went back 3 or 4 years in camera tech and low light performance is UNUSABLE. Period. if the flash can not supply enough light don't even bother. its that bad.

pro hdr helps a lot with the dynamic range but its not quite working right (it shifts the offset too high for some reason I am guess the author needs to update it to work properly to work with the note III)

the HDR built in is not satisfying at all.

I do not like the samsung surround shot. while it is less prone to "glaring" alignment issues like the google version is it has TONS of "minor" alignment issues and it appears nearly impossible to prevent them (its intelligence at lining up the shots is horrible) it also tends to be too "quick" take the shot when you hit the next geode point so in lower light levels it blurs more since you don't have time to "stop" sometimes. so I will have to try and install the google camera and run dual camera's if I can like on my Note II since I use the 360 mode a lot.

Burst mode is STILL BROKEN. you have to press and hold to use burst mode this delay is "TERMINAL" anything requiring burst mode is "long gone" by the time the damned delay timer kicks and it takes the shot series so you still need to use "best photo" mode for any usable burst capacity (since its instant no press and hold delay) but you only get 8 shots not 20 which sucks hard core (samsung PLEASE fix this)

and I want these burst limits removed. this phone can do 30fps at 8 MP !! so GIVE US THAT MODE with no shot limit and add some precognition while your at it.

press once and it takes and "cycles" 10 shots at a user selected frame rate upto 30fps (more if the hardware can handle it) press and hold AGAIN and it "locks in" the last 10 cycling shots and begins taking MORE shots until you let go then stop taking shots.

with some lens attachments this camera has some HARD CORE potential as a real action shooter.

I think I will have to carry both my Note II and Note III around because I am extremely displeased with the still shooting capacity of the Note III. its rubbish in anything but the most perfect light conditions.

I LOVE all the shooting modes and features but you ruin it with a crap sensor or crap software driving that sensor. also UP the darned bitrate on the 720p 120fps mode please. your killing me with compression man !!

and how about some MORE FPS modes. please stop calling it 1/4 and 1/8 call it by its frames per second.

add some higher speed modes please. if this can do 120fps 720p it should be able to handle 240fps D1 etc.. etc..

Hi guys it's been a great ride to be in the
Sprint gn3 forums
But horrible data drove me away.
Company paid my etf
and I'm on Verizon now.
Since I don't nave to for the bill I'm good with It.
I'm still gonna be in here flashing things to my sprint gn3 before I sell it. Just for kicks.
Freeza you rock Thanks for all the roms. I was on sprint for 13 years and couldn't take our anymore.
I'll probably switch back when they iron out these current issues.

After owning the One, the S4, and the 5s, here are what's what.

The One has the best display currently. (G2, and N5 offer similar detail but color temps not as favorable)
The AMOLED on the Note 3, while the best AMOLED to date, still doesn't have IPS detail and color accuracy.

The One is the best smartphone. (Best display. Best sound. Better battery life then the S4. Smoother running. Runs quicker. No useless software)

The 5s has lame battery life for a flagship.

If the Note 3 had a IPS display, twin speakers, then it'd be perfect....

I have the Note 3 currently.

Interesting about the HTC one. I guess it depends on what you use your device for because I personally place the HTC one in with google/moto phones.

"junk hardware"

Non removable battery. NO expandable memory slot.

Junk.

what is the point of a gorgeous display if you can't actually use it.

How do you like it so far I was really set on the g2 at first.

Sent from my Glitter Pony!!!
So far i like the note 3 alot better. Back in the summer i sold my note 2 for a galaxy s4. I didnt like the s4 bc it seemed way to gimmicky. I jumped on the htc one and kept that all the way to the release of the G2. I passed on the note 3 bc i just refused to pay the price sprint was asking. There was a guy who wanted to trade me his G2 straight up for my htc one so i said what the heck. The G2 is a really nice phone. Very well built. Very fast and beautiful display. The only issues i had with the g2 was the camera seemed very slow. Its almost impossible to get good pics of a 2 year old with a slow focusing camera. 2nd issue was the audio playback. The speaker is very low and coming from an htc one it is VERY noticable. The note 3 speaker seems just as loud as the htc one just not as acoustically sound as the htc with the front facing speakers. Also when i traded the htc i kept the headphones which were exremely loud when i used em with the htc. In the g2 they werent very loud. The main thing i didnt like about the g2 was dropped calls. I have an airrave at my house and the g2 never stayed connected. No matter where i was the g2 always dropped calls. It was so bad sprint looked at all my dropped calls and sent me out another g2 without making me see a tech.

I was about to go back to the htc one then i saw bestbuy had the note 3 for $149 if you added line. I added a line and got the note 3 and sold my g2 to pay the etf on the line i added so i got the note 3 for $149. Overall im very satisfied with the note 3. It seems like a more polished s4. To me its definitely the better of all my recent phones. Lg did a really good job with the g2. It dosent feel as cheap as the nexus 5. The phone is very close to competing with the other flagship phones but to me its still missing just a little bit of something....cant really put my finger on it.

Can you provide proof that it's the stock cell?
Not saying it's fake, but I just keep switching out cells while it not resetting battery stats...

I'm getting results like that with a 6400mAh cell. It doesn't make sense to get results with a 3200mAh cell.
Sure... If you can tell me what proof you want.

I have never, nor will I ever falsify anything I post on XDA. My personal morals/values prohibit such activity. I have no way to prove that I don't have anything but stock battery Except my word; which, until now, has never been challenged without my ability to prove my integrity.

I can prove I have a stock battery, but have no way to prove I don't have an extended battery.
