Other Fascinate Root Methods Debunked!

Since I had to sift through a lot of cruft to find a root method that worked for the fascinate, i figured I should save others the trouble and test out the popular "universal" rooting options on ED05 Froyo and EH03 Gingerbread. None of the methods did any permanent damage to the test phone.

So, as you can see, Droidstyle's guide is the only working method I could find to root ED05 and EH03. Bravo, Droidstyle!

Most of those probably use the rageagainstthecage exploit. Which was patched a while ago and doesn't work for most stuff anymore. Easiest way to root is Odin clockworkmod and flash an SU zip.

Yup, I recently tried rooting my stock EH03 and found that the only way that worked are the instructions on droidstyle's guide (Odin CWM and flash su.zip from the microsd).

I fought with my phone for a couple hours yesterday to get it rooted. Finally got it rooted on froyo but i had to switch the download source of where i was getting the stock froyo from. Then it worked great.

I tries Gingerbreak in the past and all it did is hang....
