Hey man,

Can you take some pictures of the case ON the phone? Also, some photos of the front and at an angle, so we can see the "lip" of the case.

What do you think about the shell? Feel slippery?

Are the buttons - volume, power - easy to push?

Does the silicone covering the top front of the phone feel protective/thick?

Just got my otterbox in, and yes it covers half the speaker :( And i noticed the one pictured on their website doesn't. So i just sent them a question asking about that and if they're planning on fixing the issue. I did notice they're out of stock..

I'll try to give my answers to your questions (keep in Mind I JUST received mine 10 mins ago)..

Shell = looks very good (besides covering up half the speaker on the back)
slippery = Not too bad, i mean it is hard plastic so no it doesn't grip like a soft rubber case would, but the volume and power buttons are from the silcone case so they provide you with some good grip considering you'll prob be holding it in that area...

Buttons are very easy to push, the volume ones feel perfect, the power button is easy but not as good as the volume rocker IMO..

The silcone on the top and bottom doesn't seem very thick IMO.. I do believe the case as a whole would serve its purpose in a fall though. Hopefully none of us will find out, but if I do I'll let everyone know.



Now for a question I have.. Is the screen protector that comes with otterbox cases ANY good at all?

You guys say the speaker is half covered by the case, but how does it sound? I take it there is no real difference in volume? I have to cover the speaker with my finger and press hard to muffle the sound.

And can someone link me to some coupons?

Good news! OtterBox has made revisions to the design. I sent them the pics of the defect a couple of days ago while making it clear that it wasn't that much of a problem for me. They emailed me back saying that, although the defect is completely aesthetic and has no affect on performance, they have fixed the design and were willing to send me a new one. I gladly accepted and they put in the order. How's that for customer service?

That is good I just sent them an email as well hopefully I'll have the same luck

Well I just spoke to someone in customer service and she said she wasn't aware there was a design flaw or that they had corrected it, but she got me to send all my info in for an exchange. I even mentioned that someone on a forum had already done this.. Not too sure what's up with that

Based on dimensions, I think there is a chance this case will snap into the holder for a Garmin Nuvi 200 series. Does anybody with this case have access to one to check? Or any volunteers with the case already to order a BKT200 from Ebay ($2.39 shipped) and check this out?

Well atleast I did get the little stand for free. And another screen protector. Are they any good at all? I have a steinheil, I'm sure it's no where near this quality, but I would like to get some practice with putting them on

As far as the protector, I have no idea. I quite like the one I have on already.

Yeah they were giving away free stands the day I was trying to get my replacement so I asked if I could get one.

So the customer service rep you spoke to was aware of the problem and even told you they had a revised case?

The one I spoke to acted like she didn't know of either...

Just received my case from a third party on amazon and I couldn't be happier with it. I baby the hell out of my phone buti do occasionally drop it accidentally so I'm glad this case is around. The speaker hole really doesn't bother me much either
