I agree best case ever, I am a soldier and tend to get carried away with training, forgetting I have breakabke things on me. This case takes ALL the abuse I dish out and it still looks new, and my phone gets no damage at all. I wish I could say the same for my body. I wonder if otterbox would make me a case to cover the places my battle armor doesn't, it would sure cut down on injuries and trips to the medics!!!

I have the defender, and yes I do notice some touch screen issues from time to time..mostly with swype. I usually have it out of the case unless I am at work. I am a paramedic, so I end up being pretty rough on phones, and they drop, etc quite often.

This morning as I was getting back into the ambulance, the phone caught on the seat at just the right angle that the belt clip and holster for phone were pulled apart. I thought I had just busted my otterbox holster, because my old nextel style snap in holsters always broke this way...what a surprise to find out the ole folks at otterbox must have thought of this. The connection between the swivel belt clip and the holster part for the phone actually snaps on and off...Took some muscle but snapped it back in place and good as new...Love my case even more now

Chalk up another vote for the Commuter case. My wife has had it on hers for about two months and can't kill it. If she can't, it would take an action by god to break it.

Trident Cyclops

Hello everyone. First post!

I just got my Fascinate 3 days ago. I looked at the otterbox versus the Trident Cyclops.

When I seen the video demo on the cyclops I was sold.

I got the case from eBay. Since I can't post links yet just go to eBay and search for "trident cyclops Samsung fascinate". The link to the YouTube demo is in the auction.

I got the case the same day as the phone was delivered. The phone went right in and hasn't come out. The screen protector makes great contact with the screen.

It does add some size to the phone, but I think that would be expected with any of the good cases.

So as of right now I am very happy with the case.

I use the Otter Box defender case/clip combo. The clip can be used either way, with the screen facing in (very protected) or with it facing out(to use like a dock). On top of that the clip piece locks into full open position, allowing you to use it as a stand. Handy if you want to sit on the desk and have it maintain orientation, and also when using an alarm clock.

The case itself is also pretty resilient. I work for GeekSquad, and after hours one night I literally threw my phone across the 20,000sqft store to see how the case would hold up. No damages at all. Brilliant.

Another cool feature is the non slip silicone outer layer. When I am rolling around in my Jeep, I can plug the phone into my audio aux in, and throw it onto a seat or the center console, and it never slips around.

I know I probably sound like a crazed fanboy, but I am very impressed with the case/clip and have had it for about a month.

I would post a link but apparently I cannot until I make eight posts. Google Otterbox, their site is easy enough to navigate.
Honestly I have not had any issues with the silicone shell coming off, other then slipping a little on the face, by the earpiece. The hard silicone piece under it was biting my ear a little, but I just filed that edge a bit (rounded it out) and it works great now.

As for the screen cover, it definitely does not sit entirely flush, but mostly around the edges. That being said, it lowered the sensitivity of my soft keys down at the bottom, so I no longer accidentally bump them, and yet they remain easy to hit when I want to.

My only complaint is that about once a week I have to open the case and clean the screen/screen cover due to dust getting under the cover, but I also do not usually use the clip, and have it sitting in a pocket full of lint.

I ended up just popping the screen protector off and putting my own on the phone. The bottom buttons just didn't work right. I have the defender though.

What is everyone opinion on the sedio convert? Also looks to be strong. Looking for something possibly with the ability to attach to a car dock. Is the clip removable to be able to slide the nub into other attachments such as a car dock with the same nub?

I have Otterbox Commuter for my Fascinate, and I felt it was good. It's thinner than Defender Case, but about aegis, durability is still secured.
At last, I dropped my phone while talking in a stairwell of my house, and it's still okay. OtterBox Commuter is a good choice for someone who isn't careless to the point dropped his phone in places higher than 10 meters. I don't think that someone might drop the phone in a place higher than 10 meters

And I found a way to fix the low sensitivity on the bottom take a small piece of paper fold it a couple times and put it in the plastic part of the case on the bottom and u will be good to go.

And shouldn't have to say this but don't cover the speaker.
