It is really sad to see Otterbox miss the boat on so many phones. With there philosophy of wait 2 months and see they are missing out big time.

With the ever changing world of mobile phones and how quickly new devices can come out, and technology advances waiting 2 months to decide could be the lifetime in electronic years.

Now if they could find an economical way to tool up to each new phone when it hits the shelves they would sell a ton more cases.

My only complaint with Otterbox is availability.

Not true. The Evo 3D just came out and Otterbox already has a case for it. I wonder if it's because the Sensation is a T-mobile phone. I remember they took forever for the T-mobile US version to get a case as well.

Edit: I meant to say the T-mobile US HD2.

I saw that. I think it is complete crap for them to release a case for the Evo 3D pretty much in days after it came out. Yet the Sensation 4G which launched before it doesn't even have confirmation that a case is even being made. I love you Otterbox, but really why would you do such a thing.

I used to love the Otterbox on my blackberry, but after they said they were going to release a Defender for the Nexus S and then decided to pull out of making a case for that phone, i found that pretty crappy.. They are going to do the same thing for the sensation. If you want a tough case, go with Casemate b/c I think Otterbox is out of it.

Yeah, what's up with this? I didn't spend all this money on a high-end phone to be ignored by third-party manufacturers!

Food for thought

Here is another question to look at. Maybe they are trying to find a way to manufacture a built-in screen protector that would form to the curved glass. I don't believe the Evo 3D has the same curved display, but I could be wrong. Either way, it is a shame that the day the Evo 3D comes out they have the case series out for it and no word on the Sensation. I would be happy if they told us they were having problems, but WILL make a case. I can wait if there is a guarantee, but at this point there isn't one.

Just an FYI for those people interested. Otterbox finally said on their Facebook Wall that they will be developing a Commuter case for the Sensation. However there is no ETA for availability at the moment.

this seems to be consistent...

Not only does the EVO 3D have accessories ahead of the Sensation, but they also have them readily available at other places (outside the Sprint store) like Best Buy et al. T-mo definitely gets a raw deal when it comes to attention to detail from HTC.

Dissapointed

That is great and all about the commuter case, but I would much prefer their defender series. Unfortunately Otterbox has dropped the ball on this one and will be paying in the long run. Hopefully Trident holds to their word and releases their case for this phone.

Got this email from otterbox yesterday after i inquired about a "impact" rubber case for the sensation:

We are making a case for this device, but at this point we do not have any information when that case will be released. I would say to keep an eye on our website, as it will have the most up to date information on any new releases that we may have. Sorry for any inconvenience.

Hope its soon! Already ordered the bestskinsever, had that on my iphone it was mint after 3 years of HARD use!!
